We stopped here for a quick overnight. Paid $50 and got about what expected. Room was sparse but adequate. Blankets were thin and looked old but clean. Seemed the bed was a little shorter than usual because I am 6" and my feet hung over the end. Even though I had a non-smoking room, the smoke smell in the hallway permeated the room. Quite clean except for a bit of soap debris on the shower faucet. Quick check in and out.

My husband and I stayed here one night on our trip through New England. This is your standard Motel 6. There room was clean and the bed comfortable but that's really all we ask for since we just need a place to sleep. And you can't beat the price. The room did smell a little musty at first. We would stay here again if we're in the area.

Some people have been warning me about BEDBUGS - thus making me extremely nervous about booking a room. I have never had a problem with Motel 6 in the past - so I took a chance. The room was reasonably priced - I had no need of anything other than a safe clean place with a shower to sleep for the night - therefore any other motel in the area with prices of $99 (ay yi yi) was quite a bit out of my range. I made an online reservation for $50 - plus $3 for internet was fine with me. I checked in, and armed with my digital camera, I pulled down the bedding to make my paranoid inspection. NO BEDBUGS !!! The room was clean - the bathroom was clean ! If I need to go to the New Haven area again this is where I will stay. There is a Walgreens and movie complex across the street - Hammonasset Beach is approx 15 min up I-95 - and plenty of restaurants in the area.

We have stayed at this motel several times because it's convenient to my inlaws' homes in Branford. We appreciate their liberal pet policy because we travel with one of our cats. On our last visit, Thanksgiving of 2008, we reserved the room via the internet well in advance of our arrival date. According to the website, the room would be equipped with two double beds, a table and two chairs. In our previous experiences, there had been a blow dryer mounted on the bathroom wall as well so we didn't pack ours. Upon arrival, we were assigned to a room on the first floor that had no table, one chair and no hairdryer. We asked the desk clerk what had become of our table and he said rooms with double beds don't come with tables. After that exchange, we decided asking about the blow dryer would be futile. The next day I asked the housekeeping staff if the other rooms with double beds had tables and she said they did. The first floor of the motel, which we prefer because we both have so-so knees, was full so we remained in that room for the four nights we visited Connecticut. I would agree with another reviewer who stated that the non-smoking rooms smell like smoke; the smoking rooms are scattered about randomly and one can be next door to a smoker.
