I cannot say enough good things about this resort. My wife and I along with our daughter and her three children had a wonderful time during our stay at the Triple B Ranch. The staff, the cabin, the facilities, and the view were spectacular. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and hated to leave. I strongly recommend the Triple B Ranch for families who are looking for a place to relax and enjoy quality time with their children.

When you call and ask what level of riding is done on the trail, the answer is that they cater to the least experienced rider. Reasonable. What they don't tell you is that the difference for experienced vs. novice riders is a fast or a slow WALK. They say, they would never "run" the horses, as if it constitutes animal abuse to trot a horse down the trail. Attempts to get consistent answers to "policy" are met with vague and varying answers. Example: "Arena rides are always lead-line only, except some times the wrangler will let the child ride by him/herself". When queried on the height requirement for children, one clerk says children are measured with their boots on, the next says that they must be barefoot and the rule is very strict. Very hard to set an expectation and at $30 to $35 per hour per person, it's hard to justify.

We stayed in the Livery for four nights and enjoyed having plenty of room and a large kitchen in which to cook our own meals. The children loved all the animals, the horseback rides, the huge playground and basketball court and the views of Pike's Peak. The ranch is centrally located to everything in the area and a 5 minute drive from many restaurants and shopping centers in Woodland Park. Overall we enjoyed our stay although the common areas, especially the pool and weight room, need some refurbishment. The pool did not seem to be heated and the smell of chlorine was overwhelming, the walls were not painted in the game room and the carpeting seened to have been only 1/2 installed (it was necessary to step over the rolled up end). Stilll, if you go with an open mind and don't expect a luxury resort your children will have a great, memorable time on the ranch.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Triple B Ranch! We stayed here over Labor Day weekend with our two kids (ages 4 & 6). We stayed in the Livery which is a two story cabin with a full kitchen and two bedrooms. It has been newly remodled and there was plenty of room for our family. The grounds are beautiful with 80 acres of land, lovely horses and hay rides.Our kids loved being outside and just playing with the swing sets, vollyball courts, the cats or being in the jacuzzi or sitting by the fire. Even though we had a great time, there was room for improvement. The common rooms were very run down. Also, the pool was not heated and it was too cold for us to go in (they said it was being repaired). Overall, though, it's a great place for families and we will be back for sure!
