We stayed here 7/2/2010 and found it to be a very clean and friendly place to stay. Our 4 year old grandson had a ball here and kept asking to go back to play with the managers 6 year old daughter. The new managers are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If you need an affordable and clean place to stay when traveling through Walsenburg I highly recommend Budget Host Hotel. Kay

Under new management, this motel was a wonderful surprise on a cold and snowy January evening. Although the place is old and not fancy, the rooms are very neat and clean, affordable, and very warm. The staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. It was a very pleasant surprise during a very difficult trip. It was close to the interstate, with a great breakfast place across the street. Thanks for a great stay!

First of all I can't believe we even stayed there. It was dark and we were tired and all the other motels had no vacancies. It seemed like a good idea rather than driving another 50 miles to Pueblo. WRONG!! Our weiner dog cried all night I don't think she ever even slept. We awoke at 5:00 a.m. threw our clothes on and hauled our you know what on down the road. But before we left we received our departure present a 5" centepede crawled out of a crack in the wall. Our little weiner dog bit it and injured it as I fled the room screaming. My husband went directly to the office and nobody would come to the door. Anyway the rooms are filthy, gross, dirty, bugs in the corners, the bathrooms have black mold. Totally disgusting!! I almost forgot we paid $70.00 for this hole.
