I've been negligent in writing a review of one of our favorite places to spend time in Colorado. We've been staying at the Sitzmark since 1999, and enjoy the small
European family hotel atmosphere rather than the lavish hotels and condos. The creek view is our favorite, and we have enjoyed many hours in the sumer of sitting on the balcony watching the children and dogs play in the creek. A number of excellent restaurants are within a fine-minute or less walk. Most of our visits have been in the summer or fall, but we've also been there during ski season, and it's lovely then, as well. The staff is helpful and friendly, and on the very few occasions we have had maintenance concerns, they have been responsive immediately. The rooms are clean and spacious and very comfortable, especially for the price. If you prefer glitzier accommodations, they abound in the area and have exhorbitant prices, but we love this family-friendly corner of Vail Village.
