Don't get me wrong my friends and i had a great stay. It was probably one of the best weekends of my life but there were a few things missing. First off was the internet, We noticed that there was no wireless internet in our room so i went down to the lobby to see what the problem was. The receptionist said that internet was an extra $10 a day, i thought it was kind of ridiculous that they wanted to charge me for something that Mcdonald and Super 8 will let you have for free, but no big deal. I tell her that i'll take the the internet and as i pull out cash to pay for it she tells me that i have to call a 1-800 number with a credit card to get the service (sigh). So i go back to our room and call the number. After making my way through the automated answering machine, i end up talking to an operator i can barely hear for 15 minutes trying to get service before he tells me that they don't offer internet in Vail. I don't know what the issue was but i gave up after that. For how much i paid internet should have been free, like it is everywhere els, if i have to pay for it they should at least call the number for me. Another thing that was missing was the propane for the BBQ, I never asked them about it but i'm sure it was ether missing or i was going to have to pay for it. The last thing that bothered me was the way i was asked to write this review when i was checking out. The conversation went like this
Receptionist: How was your stay?
Me: Awesome, we had a great weekend
Receptionist: Good, since you had such a great stay you should go to this web site and write a review, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a complimentary one-night stay.
I thought it was kind of ridiculous that she gave me the card with this web site on it only after i told her that we had a great stay. Other than that the Vail Racquet Club is great, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, year round pool and hot tubs ect.
