“Spectacular! Outstanding!”

There were 5 of us in a three bedroom residence. All of us well traveled and no one could find even the smallest thing to criticize. Everyone was just really, really nice. The residence had everything ... kitchen with granite and stainless, gas fireplace, patio with grill ... steam shower, two soaking tubs ... on and on and on. Walk across the courtyard to the lift and a valet hands you your skis. The place was 100% full when we were there and we rarely saw anyone. Usually ski in - out means you are remote. But a walk across the court to the gondola and you are in town in 12 minutes. Love it !! Would not hesitate to return or recommend to anyone.

“Effortless Vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 March 2011

We have been members for 12 years but anyone can stay if space is available. This place just gets it right. The concierge staff is always there with a smile and a helping hand. They do not miss a beat. The place is spotless and it is a 30 second walk to the mountain. The rooms may need a bit of sprucing up but its a ski vacation and the room is for sleeping so no big deal. My whole family loves coming back year after year! I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Telluride (Mountain Village)

“Unparalled Luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

Had the opportuinty to spend Christmas Eve at this wonderful location! We took the gondola into the quaint town of Telluride for wine and h'ordeurves and returned to the FLK just before the Ski Patrol began the Torch Light paraded down the slopes. After we retruned to the Lodge, we found families in their PJ's sipping on hot chocolate in front of the roaring fire in the hotel lobby. So Norman Rockewell!
My husband and I then retuned to our luxurious accomodations. Not an exageration. Elegant marble baths with huge jacuzzi tub along with a steam shower. The kitchen was well appointed with anything you could need. I was so impressed to find top of the line Viking and Sub-Zero appliances.
We then headed up to the roof to enjoy the hot tub! There was a full moon and soft snow falling with an incredible view of the mountains....pure heaven!
The next day I was able to enjoy a magnificent hot stone massage in the Spa, a perfect way to relax after an easy day on the sun-filled slopes.
The 5 Star Staff was extremely friendly, attentive and professional. They were excellent in everyway! No better way for a family to spend Christmas during a ski vacation!
Can not wait to return!

“Amazing Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

We really enjoyed our visit to Telluride at the Franz Klammer Lodge. The Fairmont experience starts a few weeks before your arrival when the staff contacts you to arrange any excursions golfing, rafting etc as well as offer to stock the refrigerator prior to your arrival. The exceptional service continued for us at the Montrose airport when we were picked up by one of the transportation staff members of the Franz Klammer, the driver was very thoughtful providing us with waters and cool towels to freshen up for our journey UP to Telluride . He was very knowledgeable about the area mentioning points of interest along the way. The transportation service is complimentary as a guest of the hotel and very helpful when stocking up at the grocery store or after a long hike with younger kids too tired to make it back to the hotel.

The level of service was exceptional! The staff while professional was also very personal and did a great job of making all of us feel very welcome. Our children loved to go to the concierge desk in the evenings to check out a complimentary DVD and grab a hot cocoa before bed. We also scheduled our rafting trip through the hotel, it was door to service once again.

The layout of our room was great for privacy and had beautiful views. The beds were Tempur-pedic type mattresses so every night we had a great nights sleep. The rooms also came stocked with humidifiers which are very necessary at this altitude. The hotel seems to have thought of everything when it comes to making their guests comfortable.

The Franz Klammer will not disappoint you! We look forward to our next visit!

“I usually get what I want or more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2010

I have been told most of my life whatever I want I get.. this was so much more than I knew I wanted. From the moment a very nice gentle greeted me with a cold bottle of water after a long drive and while my car was being parked, not to move again during my stay, I was checked in and brought to place I could call home. The view was breath taking from the full sized kitchen looking out over the dining room and living room. I felt a little guilty all those rooms, all those big beautiful thick robes and it was just me. I enjoyed the steam shower every night and soaked every morning. I had coffee on my patio watching people walk across the square starting their days early while I just relaxed. My days were filled with a short walk to the fifteen minute gondola ride into town and back. I had great meals and shopping while in town and when I got back to the village I found myself feeling like I was home. The staff was so friendly and almost every single one of them told me about their home town and what brought them to the Fairmount. I wasn’t there enough days to use every one of the hot tubs so I can’t tell you which one has the best view of the stars at night, at least not yet. I will be returning and next time I may actually share this GEM with a few friends and family. I could say so much more but I will wait for my next trip. While you’re there though stop by the Managers reception on Monday Scott and his team are like family you too will probably meet someone from your home town as I did.
