“Loved the place. Hated the beds in our room. Worst ever.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2011

Great place, beautiful, large, well maintained, great shuttle service. Stayed in Room 405, in the small bedroom downstairs, with 2 twin beds. The beds were Horrible. My roommate thought the same thing. Despite having been exhausted from skiing, neither of us could sleep any of the 3 nights. The mattress was uncomfortable, pillows too thick, the blankets kept slipping off the bed, leading to 3 sleepless nights. Other than that significant issue, loved the place.

“All around perfect place to stay when visiting Telluride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2010

My husband and I stayed here while in town for a wedding. We reserved a 1 bedroom suite for $130. It was off season so it was a lot more affordable, but off season was amazing: the leaves were changing, the weather was warm during the day and the views were spectacular. We had a great time hiking, trying restaurants, using the hotel amenities, etc.

The front of the hotel itself is pretty and the lobby always had fresh coffee for us. Our room was absolutely huge with french doors/balcony with a pretty view of the fall leaves and mountains. The bed was comfortable and not too firm. The bathroom was modern and all marble, though a little small.

The gym is huge and a quiet 'yoga' room for me was perfect. The outdoor pool and hot tub were heated perfectly for the cool temps in the evening. The free shuttle was a big plus and we used it often.

The gondola is truly a unique way to get around and with the best views the whole way in Telluride and Mt. Village. We were so glad we chose to stay in Mt. Village and not down in the town of Telluride because of the views and amenities this bigger lodge had. The gondola got us down to Telluride for dinners within 15 mins.

“Beautiful Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2010

Bear Creek Lodge was a beautiful place to stay. My co-workers and I were in town for a conference and we loved all the snow. The rooms were extremely nice. I really enjoyed the new firepit outside on one of the patios. Such a beautiful place to stay and I can't wait to go back!

“Bear Creek Lodge - Mountain Village, Colorado”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2010

We spent a week (July, 2010) in a one-bedroom condo at Bear Creek Lodge, CO, above Telluride, CO. THe facility is wonderful with 2 hot tubs, an outdoor swimming pool, fire pit and outdoor gas grills. There is also a shuttle to the Village store, gondola to Telluride and numerous restaurants. We loved the facility, with the exception of the altitude, which made breathing challenging for flat landers. The condo itself was fabulous with a fully equipped large kitchen, living room and dining room. The only problem was that it faced WEST. That's great for viewing beautiful sunsets. Unfortunately, because there were NO DRAPES or blindes, it makes the condo almost uninhabitable between 3 pm and 7 pm. It was brutally hot. Most of the other units appeared to have blindes. ASK before you confirm if your unit has blinds...if not, look elsewhere.

“Roomy and comfortable with great and accomodationg staff”

My son and I went on a spring break ski vacation with my friend and his two sons. We had a large 4 bedroom unit that was great. The quality of the accomodations was excellent. The service by all the staff was terrific - they were all very friendly and would jump to help out with anything at the drop of a hat. Access to the slopes was via a Funicular (small tram) which was perhaps a very small inconveience - but was fast and simple.
