“Great place, but not completely mind-blowing!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Great place to stay in - we had a huge group discount (for 700 people) so I don't know exact rates, but I'm sure this costs a bomb.

Pros:
1. very large condos compared to the other ones like Peaks, Mountain lodge and Franz Klammer
2. great service and a shuttle that runs very regularly
3. large common areas in each condo - great for parties, group dinners.

Cons:
1. Secluded from the action - very far from the Gondola station, the market and everything - you need a shuttle to be able to get out of this place
2. The lodge is good, but definitely not as good as some others like Tristant and Franz Klammer (the latter has a pool attachment to some rooms)
3. Not ski in ski out - the whole hassle of taking your skis off and getting on the shuttle and then walking is not what you expect when you're paying $250 a night.

Room Tip: Choose the ones on the 3rd floor, the ones that are closes to the grill and the hot tub.

“Good amentities, comfy room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

I was there for the Blues and Brews festival and the hotel had everything we could need....pool, fitness room, jacuzzi, coffee in the am. It is a bit of a commute into town, but you can take the funicular and walk to the gondola or they have a shuttle service that will take you to the gondola...overall pretty convenient...and who can be in a rush with all the beauty of Telluride! We had just a small room, but it was very comfy and well appointed.

“Perfect Relaxing Lodge!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

My fiance and I wanted a romantic long weekend and we found a great place with Bear Creek Lodge. We rented a one bedroom condo that had a full kitchen, bath, and living space, #310. I believe they have studios as well. We brought alot of our own food and prepared breakfasts and lunches and one dinner at home. They have all the dishes and pans and wine glasses, but bring your own tin foil, tupperware, spices, etc... The room was beaurtiful and just the right touch of ski lodge decor. The pool and hot tub looked great but we did not test them out. There is a fire pit and BBQ next to the pool where people seemd to be utilizing frequently. The views from the room are of the mountains and aspen/pine tree forest behind the lodge. We slept soundly-we didn't hear anything but the birds in the morning. The lodge wasn't full so I don't know how noisy it will be during ski season. They have a free shuttle to take you to the mountain villiage gondola- so we rarely used our car once we arrived. The staff was friendly and very helpful -we had a few questions as we had never been to Telluride before. We will definately be back to Bear Creek Lodge!

“Loved this place!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2011

We loved our little vacation escape here. The bellman was more then helpful with things we needed, went out of his way. We had one of the little lodge rooms, and it was very nice, great bed, fantastic bathroom with jet tub. Beautiful pool, and nice lodge. This little room was perfect for us our son in a pack and play and even better price. We loved getting to the mtn village, it was not difficult. And the Gondola ride to Telluride made the trip that much more fun and we didn't have to drive anywhere. Lots of great places to eat, happy hour specials and no crowds, we will be back!

Room Tip: If you looking for a nice room (not suite), for a fantastic price, ask for a lodge room!

“Nice place but NOT SKI In SKI out”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2011

This is a nice place with decent amenities but you have to take a shuttle to anywhere that you want to go. Its too far to walk to restarurants, grocery store, chair lifts, etc.. This is NOT a ski-in ski-out condo.
