“Finding the place at night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 April 2012

To begin, we liked the Manitou. Great price for an expensive town. I expect we'll be going back the next time we're in Telluride.
Rooms are comfortable for 4 as long as two are ok sharing a sofa bed.

I wouldn't call it a bed and breakfast any more than i would your average Comfort Inn. The dining are is small, with a table for 4, and breakfast is typical of chain motels. Plenty good enough as far as I'm concerned, but don't expect freshly cooked eggs with parsley and basil! More like bagels, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, etc. More than enough for me, certainly.

It can be hard to find at night if you haven't been there. We got in about 10, found our key combos as directed at the Aspen Street Inn, then drove to Fir Street (two blocks east if I recall correctly.) Turn right (south) on Fir Street, which dead ends at the creek. There are no streetlights and the parking is all posted "Permit only."
You ignore the signs for the time being, park as close as you can to the creek, then cross the small footbridge. The Lodge is just across the bridge. When you get into your room, you will find a parking permit on the wall, which you then take back to your car.
Simple really, unless it's late and you've been driving a looooong time.

“Ideal , peaceful location in Telluride.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2012

Snoworks.com team (10) visited here a week ago. Ideally placed for easy access to gondola to Mountain Village (10 mins walk away), town ( 10 mins ), breakfast laid out every morning - bagels, toast, eggs, etc. with full use of the kitchen, plasma tv & hifi in lounge, clean rooms with walk in shower, wc, wash basin, setee, tv, upstairs bedroom, linen changed every 5 days unless ask, outside veranda with nice hot tub ( better than the pic), small balcony. Manageress, Heather, was v. nice & a mind of information on the town! Great time! We'll be back.

Room Tip: Stayed in 1st floor room. , v . quiet. , no noise from stream or A/C unit. Thick pile carpets absorb...

“Love this location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

This is the second time we've stayed at the Manitou for a ski vacation. The location is awesome... And the staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again!

Room Tip: If you like to cook some of your own meals, room 7 has a kitchenette and a great view of the river!

“The Best Place in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

This Is the best place to stay.
Plan on a few days worth every moment.
Easy walking to everything Telluride has to offer and parking just a few feet away from the B&B.
Lots to see in this historical town.
Don't forget the camera or video recorder.
Will be back many times

Room Tip: Come early and enjoy.

We have so enjoyed staying at the Manitou whenever we visit Telluride. This quaint little bed and breakfast is a quick jaunt to the Gondola, downtown, the Library or skate park. Our kids Love this place and we would never stay anywhere else!
