The service at the Mountain Lodge is Outstanding! We were especially impressed with Kevin, who drove a golf cart around the property and was always available to take us where we wanted to go. The property is on on the mountain, so the walking is very steep slopes, so Kevin came in very handy. Doug and the others at the front desk were also very accommodating.

The Mountain Lodge says it is "ski in-ski out", but that is stretching it. It does involve a good bit of walking, and in ski boots that is not so great. The rooms vary greatly in size, so be careful of what they call a "Two Bedroom Suite" - it is really a One Bedroom Loft. Yes, the loft has a bathroom, but there is no privacy and it's a long flight of stairs! If you are going for a week or more, I would get the Deluxe 2 bedroom condo - it has LOTS of room.

Overall, the Mountain Lodge is a great facility, but make sure you get all the details because it may not suite a lot of people.

We go to Telluride twice a year or more and we always stay at Mountain Lodge. It is a wonderful lodge in winter and in the summer. We stayed in the Apex Cabin- 4 bedroom. It has two big decks where you can enjoy the views and watch the skiers coming down the hill. It is ski-in-ski out. The location is great and so convenient. We loved the pool and hot tub after a long day of skiing. The kids had so much fun taking the short gondola ride into Mountain Village and down into Telluride. It is nice that you do not need a car. You can even rent ski equipment right from Mountain Lodge. The kitchen is fully equipped. We made many meals at the cabin and snuggled on the couch in front of the big fireplace. A wonderful family vacation in Telluride.

This was my first stay at Mountain Lodge at Telluride, but it will not be my last. I felt welcomed and taken care of from my first phone call to Heather, in reservations. She went out of her way to answer my questions and offered helpful additional information. She arranged coach services for my husband and I to and from the airport in Montrose, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Checking in with Raul, virtually matched that experience, and actually, everyone we dealt with couldn't have been nicer. The Lodge itself, is not one but a number of buildings and cabins and is quite lovely. It is only a couple of minutes (by foot) from both the gondola and the village supermarket. For those too tired to walk after a day of skiing, the Lodge offers a shuttle service. Our 1 bedroom condo suite faced the mountain and provided us with everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen which enabled us to prepare some meals on our own. Other reviewers have commented on the the accessibility to skiing. My husband and I were initially surprised that we were not right on the slopes (since the lodge states that it is ski in/ski out). But truthfully, once we got the hang of it, it was very convenient. Yes, a little bit of a walk down to the ski run at the beginning of the day and a little walk up at the end of the day, but nothing that took more than a minute or two. And, again, for those who didn't want to carry their skis, a shuttle to either the gondola or the foot of the mountain village was available. We generally ski at Snowbird but have fallen in love with Telluride and will definitely return. When we do we will be staying at the Mountain Lodge.

Was told at check-in that our room had a "great" view. Got to our room and there was no view to speak of. The gentleman helping with our luggage said that there were much better views and called the front desk. We went to 3 more rooms, and ended up with a better view, not great, but it was nice. The trek up to the lobby, hot tub, and gondola just about wore me out. I am an avid runner, but I guess that is 9,500 feet for you! My biggest complaint is that it took over 3 hours and 4 phone calls to get a wine opener delivered to my room. With all of that being said I would stay again, but I would lower my expectations!
