I really liked staying in Mountain village. The ski in, ski out is helpful for my kids who hate carrying their skis. We liked the lobby restaurant again for the kid friendliness.

We stayed 4 nights in August 2011 and had a wonderful time. The gondola's are conveniently located close for easy access. Nice outdoor seating available at the onsite restaurant. There is alot of great dining close and great hiking in the area.

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at the Inn at Lost Creek. We had a corner suite with a fireplace, lg jacuzzi tub and a steam shower. Plus a great view and a wonderful bed. This time of year is off season so their restaurant is not open but there are so many choices in the area that it didn't matter. This resort is just a short walk to the free gondola ride. This takes you into Telluride or up to the Mountain Village for grocery shopping, etc. The views were amazing and the best part you never had to move your vehicle to get around! The Inn had all the luxuries of a five star but none of the pretention, the staff were always friendly and very helpful.

This was my first trip to Telluride and Mountain Village. I went while the leaves were changing, and it was outrageously beautiful. The accommodations were wonderful as well. I stayed in a corner one bedroom unit. It was fine for just me, but it might feel a bit crowded with more than 2 guests. All the furniture was comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the bathroom shiny and new. Loved the steam shower - perfect after a long day of hiking. Very convenient location close to the gondola. Just hop on and go over the mountain to Telluride or across the way to the market and post office. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They picked me up from the airport, took me back a few days later to rent a car, picked me up again after I dropped the car off, and then dropped me off on my way out, all at no charge. Did not eat at the Inn or get room service, so I can't speak to those services. Great location, great inn.
