We arrived at the Snow Flower just after 6:00 p.m. and expected to find someone there to check us in. Instead, there was a sign telling us to go to the Torian Plum to get checked in. After some trouble, we managed to find it and once again, expected to find someone there to check us in. No such luck. It was closed. The front desk area closes at 5:00 p.m. There was a sign just outside the door telling us to use the phone that was there, and call security. So we did. The procedure was that they told us the combination number of one of the lock boxes that was there with our information for getting into our condo. The problem was that no matter how many times we tried, we couldn't open the lock box. So we had to call security again so they could send someone to open the lock box. After a short time, the security person came but he also had trouble opening the lock box. After several tries, he managed to open it, and we then had what we needed. But the whole thing was a huge hassle. We won't stay there again, nor would we recommend it to anyone else.
We stayed in a studio room which was tiny and had a murphy bed. Although I knew we were getting a murphy bed, I had never slept in one before and didn't know what it would be like. This one was uncomfortable and I don't recommend it.
The freezer didn't have an ice maker in it nor did it have ice cube trays, so we couldn't have ice in our drinks other than having to go to another floor to get ice. I see no reason why they could not at least put ice cube trays in the freezer. We tried putting our ice bucket full of ice cubes into the freezer but that didn't work since the whole thing froze as one block of ice.
Also, we didn't get any maid service during our stay, but the maid did manage to open the door to our room, (without knocking first), way before check-out time on the day that we checked out.

Hello coloradohiker12,
It has come to my attention that your recent stay at ResortQuest's Snowflower Condominiums was, needless to say, eventful. Apparently the check-in information you received was incorrect.
I sincerely apologize for the hassle. We appreciate the time you have taken to write a review. Your feedback is reviewed by several managers and staff at our property and is used to evaluate our services so that we can adapt and improve.
The problematic lock-box that complicated matters is currently in the process of being replaced with more a much more user-friendly alternative. We recognized that check-in after-hours needed to be easier considering the guest has been traveling and tired.
I would like to offer my services to reestablish a positive experience next time you visit Steamboat Springs. Please contact me personally via SteamboatInfo@ResortQuest.com.
