We stayed here recently for one night, while traveling through. It was a little difficult to find (it is BEHIND the Steamboat Hotel and marked with a small sign), but we found the room well-appointed and quiet. We were in a rear-facing second-story room overlooking the river marsh. Mattresses were of average quality. Skip their breakfast and go out somewhere. Being there in warm weather, we were happy to find a paved path behind the motel for a pleasant morning walk along the river. The hot tub looked nice, but we didn't have our suits along to try it out. We would stay here again.

ok the only thing bad about this place is the fact that it is a little far away from the slopes and a little hard to find. However given the fact that the local free bus service is excellent this does not matter, for the price this is way better than some of the other hotels in the area, great service, great manager and awesome homesome feel.

Stayed there back in February for one night and paid $82.44 including taxes. This is the month of May and I just received my credit card statement showing charges from the Bunkhouse Lodge for $659.52!!!! When I called them to inquire about the overcharge, the front desk clerk's answer was, "sorry we can't help you and no one here can."
So I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge and am in the process of contacting the Steamboat Better Business Bureau and Colorado Dept. of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

It was clean. Nice front desk person. Average to below selection for breakfast. Cost me $150 a room per night during high season. Kind of hard to find.
