“quiet stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

We had a room in the back overlooking native plants and it was very quiet at night. We would have loved to sit outside in the evening but there where only a few chairs in the still hot sun. There is no pool but we were told to use the pool of the hotel that is located right in front. We didn't make use of it.
Beds were uncomfortably soft and don't expect much from the breakfast bar.

“Totally decent for the price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 May 2011

My room was casual but extremely clean. Few employees around due to the off-season (ski hills recently closed for the season and the summer tourists have not yet arrived). Thus, there was no one to fix the flickering light in the hall of my room. No biggie.....
After I arrived back home, I realized I had left my expensive shampoo and hair rinse in the shower so I called the hotel. They had saved it for me and subsequently took it to a postal center, who mailed it back to me. That was a surprise! There were also 4 pillows on each of the two queen beds, some soft and some more firm so you can take your pick. The hotel and room is nothing fancy but very clean and comfortable. No DVD player, and the TV is the old boxy type. 2 floors, and no elevator. But all in all, was very pleased with my stay, and it was a tremendous bargain to boot.

“Nice and Clean, and Convenient to Town and Ski Hill!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2011

I stayed here for two nights in late February and thought the Bunkhouse Lodge was a great, low-cost option in Steamboat Springs. The room had everything I needed, was clean, and the continental breakfast got me off to a good start in the morning. The walls were a bit thin, however, but the noise was minimal, so it didn't matter much over my stay. It could be a factor depending on who your neighbors are, however. I will consider staying here again when back in Steamboat, which is often!

“Good value, nice location”

Needed a place to stay for a couple of days while in Steamboat. Lodge is not on the mountain but not far away either. Room was large and clean. A little noisy as we were next to the breakfast area but overall a great deal.

“Clean, quiet, average. Eat elsewhere for breakfast.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2010

The room was quiet with a good powerful A/C. It seemed very clean....except for one washcloth that looked like it had been used to clean up a huge food spill. THe washcloth has obviously been laundered, but I'm surprised they hadn't thrown it away and had put it in our room to reuse. The free continental breakfast consisted of store-bought muffins, bagels, english muffins, two kinds of cereal, and packets of raisins. It's food....but certainly nothing fancy. Other than that, the hotel was nice enough - a bit expensive for the quality, but there was a huge soccer tournament in town duringour stay, so i think the price was a bit inflated for that particular weekend. Parking and wireless internet are free.
