We stayed here and they overcharged us our check out bill was for 69.00 got our statement and they had charged us 339.00 saying we had smoked in our room all rooms are non smoking and we did smoke outside the building but had brought partially smoked ciggs back to our room hence "we smoked in the room" watch out for these people they will try to get you for something you really didn't do.

The staff was pleasant and the room was clean. They were flexible and allowed an early check in to accomodate our schedule. The pool turned out to be "seasonal" so it was not open which disappointed my son. The building is far enough off the raod to keep the noise to a minimum . The continental breakfast was adequate with a couple of juice choices and a few cereals and minimuffins but the counter with seat would be fine for a quick bite on the way to the slopes but for kids or more than a few moments it wasn't exactly an enticing nook.

This hotel was okay. An average run of the mill place to sleep with a couple of amenities like mini-fridge and hair dryer. They offer a 15% discount if you mention the ad on the website but you have to haggle to get it, they argued with me and told me that it had been applied when it clearly had not. Not good to have to haggle over an offered discount. There were drunk young people running down the halls screaming and making all kinds of noise after midnight and no one stopped it. Also, if you like a good cup of coffee in the morning don't drink what they offer in the lobby.

Formerly the Super 8, this is now renamed STEAMBOAT HOTEL and remodeled as all completely non-smoking. Very nice, basic lodging with clean rooms, comfortable beds and good showers.
Years ago, I stayed at another motel in Steamboat but found their rates had increased significantly, so with a little more research I found Steamboat Hotel to be Much more reasonable. It's kind of a ways from downtown, but since it's on the shuttle route, that makes it a great value, no matter the season.
I was also impressed with this management's efforts to cut waste by offering one-use shampoo and lotion Packets instead of bottles. I wish every hotel would do this now.
One thing, though, the office doesn't open until 7 a.m., which is kind of late for those who need to get up and going. The receipt won't be delivered under your door, so remember to get it when you check-in.
Yes, I would definitely stay here again!
