Filthy sheets and looked like they had bed bugs, the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE.

At around 8:45a.m. we told the maid to come back later to clean the room and she just opened the door when we were still in bed; but we were told by management that the maid doesn’t start working not until 10a.m. All employees including the manager dress like they area at the park or exercising and they are NOT PROFESIONAL, they all need to wear casual work cloth or uniforms.

Maid (1 female) was always smoking outside the entrance door, she didn’t even walked away from the door, she just sat down right outside the entrance door; she was also wearing skin tight short shorts like if she was going to the gym or to run and a tight top (definitely think she is hot stuff) and had a bad attitude all the time.

The entire place looked like it’s under construction and the smell is so strong that it’s offensive and unbearable. Manager is always hanging out with some of his male friends at the front desk; no business cards at the front desk so you don’t know their names, every time I went to the front desk there was no one attending the guests. We used our own sheets at this place.

I will never stay at this place nor do I recommend it.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. The rooms were spotless, the towels soft and fluffy. Breakfast fare was plentiful, I especially loved the pumpkin bread:). Best part of all was being right on the Yampa river. Everything we wanted to do was just outside our door. Room rate was more than fair. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to my friends. Thanks Jay, Shawn and Nate, we will be back.

The hotel lobby is open and inviting with a cheerful breakfast area. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and provided great assistance in pointing us toward the local sites. Would definitely stay here again.

At normal hotels room service is supposed to happen on a daily basis. Not at the Iron Horse and when they do they throw the old sheets onto the bed (don’t even attempt to tuck in), don’t disinfect or wipe a single surface, or vacuum. Was bummed that we left a tip. All they care about is making sure that the coffee and towels are replaced. I would rather stay somewhere else that cares about the service they provide their customers. We also had a motion sensor light right by our window, with blinds that we broke and nothing to pull over them to block the light. It went off/on every 5 minutes.
