We were booked in for 2 nights in mid September with American friends. We arrived in the afternoon, our keys were in an envelope stuck to the front door. The first room we looked at was very small but at least it had a proper bed. The 2nd room was even smaller & the only bed was a sofa bed which looked home made.

We decided that this was not for us & phoned the owner. She wasn't exactly over the moon but kindly did understand our situation & therefore we incurred no charges. We found alternative accommodation through the excellent visitor's centre.

We liked the Mariposa Lodge. The staff (the only non-guests you will ever see) were super friendly, and great in the kitchen. The rooms were done up nicely, and the location is convenient.

BUT...

...we were completely dissed by the owner! She drove right past us in the driveway as we smiled and waved from five feet away. She just ignored us, flat out. That was the only time we ever saw her during our stay, and boy, what a first impression!

Excellent Bed & Breakfast no issues, everything was GREAT!

On a recent biking trip, our group had the pleasure of staying at the Mariposa B&B. The beautiful common areas, especially the sunroom and kitchen, made our stay relaxing and memorable. My friends and I spent the afternoon reading in the sunroom overlooking the river, then spent the evening on the porch looking for deer and other wildlife in the field across the street. The breakfast was outstanding (thanks Dani) and we couldn't have chosen a better place to relax after a long day on the biking trail. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
