We have recently spent 10 days in Summit 107 in the Top of Village condominiums in Snowmass. The location was as good as any on the mountain. Very easy ski in and ski out to the bottom portion of the trail leading to the Village base which is where the day's skiing starts. The condominium (2 bedroom,2 bathroom) had been recently renovated and was essentilally faultless. Great accommodation and very comfortable beds with 3 televisions and a gas open fire-much better than the wood open fires in some of the units-all we had to do was turn on a timer. We had 2 minor problems during the stay which were fixed almost immediately after a phone call to the front desk. the shuttle which would drop you off at your door and take you to the supermarket or the village mall or base made it easy to get around. One phone call and they would give you an estimated time of arrival (never waited longer than 10 minutes) and you would then be on your way. The front desk staff and shuttle drivers were very friendly and efficient and we wanted for nothing. We will certainly be going back. the only criticism was the number of people in the hot tubs at the end of the day and the failure of SNO-LIMO to pick my wife up for her airport transfer-again fixed immediately by the front desk who got one of the condominiums shuttles to take her to the airport

I traveled here two weeks ago with a large group of MBA students/spouses (about 800). Housing was arranged through the ski trip committee, but everyone was so pleased. We were at all of the major condos in Snowmass - all ski in, ski out.

We were in TOV Summit 107. Obviously, since these are all condo units with individual owners, they are all different. I saw Summit 107, 207 and 308 - all were 2 bed/2 baths. 107 was the most recently rehabbed of those three. Also, I was partial to the first floor, as there was a sliding glass door. We had a gas fireplace, the other two had wood-burning.This made the ski in/ski out even easier. TOV is on a green run, Dawdler.

As others have mentioned, TOV provides a shuttle service to anywhere in Snowmass. You just call and they come; it was great. They even take you to the grocery store. I was expecting this to be very overpriced, but it was only slightly higher than prices in Chicago.

To get to Aspen/Buttermilk, you can take the free city bus from the Snowmass "mall" area. It leaves about every 15 mins during skiing hours.

We got a great deal b/c we essentially took over the village. However, I heard that these places are quite expensive - I definitely wouldn't be able to afford it now. But, most skiers are wealthy, so that probably doesn't matter.

One downside, there is just a communal pool/hot tub area. The pool is heated and there are two hot tubs. There is a little locker room there for changing. It is about a 4 minute walk down the road from Summit. In case management reads this, I think that there should be one hot tub in each condo section - i.e. one hot tub at Summit, instead of that waterfall area.

The staff, from housekeeping to the front desk to the drivers, is efficient, friendly, and competent. They are very happy to help and care about their guests - and it shows!

Awesome vacation! We have been coming to Snowmass since 1969 - (Three generations of two families-30+ people). We have stayed at many condos over the years (Chamonix, Enclave, Woorun V, Woodrun Place, Timberline, Stonebridge Condos, Tamarak, Shadowbrook, Interlude and many high end homes. I must say the unit we had here was WONDERFUL! Great location, great slope view, ski in/out, ski down to the village take the chair up or take an invigorating walk up the hill to the condo (works off lunch!)
Although this property wasn't very upscale or even one we considered when it was first built in the 70's; WOW, have they have remodeled, refurbished and upgraded!! It iis now so comfortable and the service- FANTASTIC!! We rented a 2 Br/2 BA since my son's fiancee could not come this year and the day before we were to come to TOV, we learned our nephew (who wasn't going) was going to stay with us! The staff found us a unit with extended length bunks and a Queen bed. A tough task given that the 3 boys are all over 6'2! Well done! I loved the location of TOV - Could ski down to the village during the day or take a shuttle to vist other family members at various locations in Snowmass. TOV has upgraded, retrofitted, and made this a terrific choice for a family ski vacation!
One caveat (as is common with most resort condos) : All units are not equal - some may not be as updated as others ...
