We stayed here with our three kids. They had a great time in the pool. They wanted to stay forever. The rooms were clean and very pleasant. The managers were helpful and went out of their way to provide us with information. They even opened the pool early so the kids could swim. Friendly people, great value. We will definitely stay here again!

Average is the best I can say. I am used to newer hotels, and I don't like little old-looking-and-smelling places. So I didn't like this one, and was glad to leave. The front desk man was nice, and the room had been cleaned (no visible stains or tears anywhere, etc.). But it *was* old, there was some mold in the tile, the outside was not properly cared for, and the outdoor trash cans were overflowing and reeked, and I thought I paid too much for what I got. So if you just want a quiet little place to sleep, this hotel will satisfy you. But don't expect anything more than that.

I was looking for inexpensive accommodations and was able to get an excellent rate through ABVI's Value Club (a free membership, you can join online). Lucky I did, I had no idea when I arrived that there is a big rafting festival this weekend in Salida.

My room had a king bed, sofa, small refrigerator, coffee maker, and decent wifi for $62 plus tax. The room is clean and all the hotel rooms are smoke-free, yay!

I will admit I was a bit concerned when I arrived at the hotel. The "curb appeal" is lacking; frankly, the building frontage could use a bit of sprucing; however, the room is comfortable and even though I have a room toward the front of the hotel, I do not hear noise from Hwy 50.

All in all, I feel like this hotel provides a good value for my dollar.
