My stay at BBM was everything magical from beginning to end AND I didn't want it to end. The snowfall while we were there covered everything with a thick, beautiful, white blanket. Breathtaking and stunningly beautiful! Warm and cozy inside attended to by wonderful Erica and her Dad, Jim. They really spoiled us with comfort food like no other. Best coffee I've ever tasted. Erika even sent us the recipes from her menus. Views from the tower were outstanding and I woke up to see a doe and buck right outside my bedroom window.The bed and room was so perfect and I especially enjoyed the cocktail hour where we gathered in the living room. What an amazing week end!

It is difficult to fault Black Bear Manor. The check in/greeting was warm and welcoming. It was relatively quiet the night we stayed so we received a free upgrade to a larger room on the second floor. The room itself was a good size and extremely comfortable. Ouray is a wonderful town - spectacular, breathtaking scenery in every direction. The Black Bear is well situated a few hundred metres off the main road not far from the river. It boasts fantastic views in all directions. Breakfast is a feast, with the french toast being a highlight. Free drinks are served every evening, which is a lovely touch. Overall I highly recommend the Black Bear Manor.

This was my first time to Black Bear Manor and it will not be my last. The quaint bed and breakfast is walking distance to town where you find an assorment of stores and resteraunts run by locals, where deer greet you as you take in all the scenery. Every morning as you wake from the comfortable beds and quiet night, Erica is waiting to serve your needs and with an amazing breakfast where everybody is left fully content. The cocktail hours allows you to meet the other amazing guests that because of the amazing service of the staff everyone is treated like family. The stay was amazing and I did not want it to end.

What an amazing and unforgettable experience! The staff were very caring and gracious and added to the ambience of the B & B! The food was an experience within itself, some of the most delicious breakfasts I have ever had! All the rooms at the B&B were comfortable and beautifully decorated! Within walking distance of the B&B was the quaint little town of Ouray. The older restored buildings seemed to take you back in time and offered great shopping, exquisite dining, great pubs, and friendly people! Beautifully surrounded by mountain peaks, the area truly is the "Little Switzerland of America"! The view from the B & B observatory is breathtaking!
