“Perfect & Affordable Place to stay in Ouray!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

Went to Ouray on the spur of the moment trip to go Jeepin and did not have any reservations--so we just drove into Ouray and drove around and we spotted this hotel. Looked very clean and inviting on the outside so we decided to stop. Glad we did! Affordable room (Two Queens for $104 w/tax for the night during High/Summer Season). The room was very clean and good size--bigger bathroom than most. Had everything we needed for the night. They have a cute hot tub in a little gazebo. Within walking distance to everything in Ouray. Short drive to the Springs. Perfect Stay!!

“Does the job very well - nice and friendly staff too...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2009

Cascade Falls Lodge is a very unpretentious little hotel a minute walk from the main street in Ouray, serving all your needs and a little bit extra. The lodge has a nice, relaxed feel, and caters for the type of people who like to keep their own food in a personal fridge in the room, and who like to sit out enjoying the quiet long into the evening. The room was basic but entirely comfortable, with a good sized double bed, ample space for storing items, and a pleasantly powerful shower. The owner Sandy was extremely nice, and even did a very big favour for myself and Mrs Beoirgra when we were caught in need of help (I won't say what it is lest all guests start to assume it is one of the services of the establishement). Suffice to say, it was very generous and made things much easier for us. This is one of the benefits of not using the many chain hotels, such as Best Western, that now seem to be springing up all over Ouray.
As a side note, I recommend the Bagel shop on the corner near the hotel, though the staff are incredibly rude; and the bookshop on the opposite side of the road which has an excellent stock of books ranging from rock climbing to kurt vonnegut.

“It has everything you need”

We stayed at Cascade Falls for one night - the last night of our road trip. The owner was very nice and directed us to a good restaurant. The room was large and included a queen bed, table and chairs, desk, dresser, small fridge and microwave and a TV with a good picture (we had stayed elsewhere with bad reception). There was a coffemaker and even make-up remover and eye make-up remover, which I appreciated because I had just been on the Silverton Durango train and felt "sooty". The train was great though - I recommend it!
It's not a cookie cutter hotel so don't expect that. It had crocheted pillow shams and a floral print shower curtin. Not a Holiday Inn - a nice family owned business. There is no pool but there is a hot tub and also a table and chairs on the deck so you can sit outside and have coffee.

“Awesome!!!!!”

This lodge is a block off the main street but within walking distance from the attractions there. The room was very clean, the shower was awesome and the bed was comfortable. The customer service was great. Coffee in the room and also in the lobby if you need more. Plenty of ice to fill our ice chest for our days excursions. The hot tub was very nice after our days of exploring the mountains. We very much enjoyed our stay at the lodge and will return in the future. Thanks for making our trip to Ouray a pleasure!

“Owners Very Welcoming”

We stayed two nights and Ted and Sandy, the owners, were very gracious and welcoming. They have a large hobby train set outside that they turned on and demonstrated for our 5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter. Our kids loved it!
