Nestled in the heart of Ouray, this modest Inn was a great value.
We were came into town December 28th - January 2.

For New Years Eve, Ouray hosted fireworks at midnight.

The hotel owners were great, they were warm, and friendly. I would highly recommend ice climbers or any visitor to this property. Why I liked it.
1. You can control your own thermostat.
2. Breakfast included (make your own Belgian waffles, boil your own eggs in a old fashioned electric boiler, fresh made oatmeal with fixings, yogurt, fruit, muffins, toast... from 7:30-9:00am every morning).
3. Family owned.
4. Very clean rooms and comfy bed, with great lighting.
5. Shower pressure was very good.
6. Hair dryer, coffee maker, and a mini refrigerator.
Would I stay there again, absolutely!!!
7. A couple of minutes walk to the main street.
8. You get 60% off tickets to the City's natural hot springs pool (bring your own towels - renting one is $2.00).

Ouray Eatery: The Brewery and the Mexican Restaurant there was good.

We decided to do something a little different for Christmas this past year, so we spent 4 days in Ouray, Colorado. It was absolutely beautiful. We stayed at the Ouray Victorian Inn and I don't think we'll stay anywhere else. We stayed in the family suite and it was very comfortable and clean. One of the best parts were all the hooks! There was enough space to hang all of our swim suits and towels after a few hours in the hot springs. And there are five of us! Jan and Brian were both wonderful and I was really glad to get to meet them both. Breakfast was a nice addition with lots of options. It is walking distance to the Box Canyon Waterfall and also to the canyon where the ice climbers are. There were lots of things to do for the kids. Some of them are free like sledding, ice skating (if you have your own skates) and a ski/snowboard hill with a towrope. In the winter Box Canyon Waterfall is also free. We will definitely be going back.

My husband and I just returned from a three night stay at Ouray Victoria Inn and we have nothing but great things to say,from freindly owners to helpful cleaning staff. very clean and quiet. The shower worked well and very easy to get to work. Ouray is a GREAT little town with friendly people. A must to visit and a must to stay. Love it and if the lord is willing we will be back.

Very clean, very comfortable, very friendly staff, all the basics, not particularly fancy. Nice curved shower rod, but an old 22" CRT TV. If you have a large, high-def flat screen at home, the TV is a bit of a let down. On the other hand, who goes to Ouray to watch TV?

We had a battery problem with our smoke detector (beeping every minute or so, indicating a low battery), and they were there to fix it within minutes.

Very nice place, would not hesitate to stay here again.

Note that if you stay here and are using a Garmin GPS, and you are coming into town from the north, you may get really bizarre directions -- at one point I considered flipping into 4-wheel drive on the steep, snow-packed roads. Ignore the Garmin: just stay on Main Street all the way through town, and turn right at the last street (3rd Avenue) before the road curves up the hill. There is a Best Western sign there, pointing the way. This inn is 50 yards past the Best Western.
