“Best of the Best”

My new bride and I were fortunate enought to get the honeymoon cottage for 4 nights. I've spent 25 years in the hospitality business myself and can honestly say the staff here would give the 4 seasons a run for their money. Words don't do it justice. EVERYONE was so polite, friendly, catering to our every whim. The room was spotless and beautiful. It has an old rustic western feeling and is hidden just off "main street" (whatever the one road is named in Morrison ). At the base of the mountains it is a hidden paradise. The "main house" features great paintings from an artist who paints shows "LIVE" at the beautiful Red Rocks ampitheater 1mile away. It also has a very welcoming large "great room" where you can hang out and they have video games... it honestly felt like we were staying at a very good friends' house. Kudos to Frasier and Heidi (the operators) for providing us a honeymoon of a lifetime. Thanks also to Dominique (front desk receprtionist) for going above and beyond in getting us rides.. anything we asked for. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Luce the lovely lady who brought us breakfast in bed everyday and always had a smile on her face. On a scale of 1 to 10 this place is a 100. Thanks again everyone!

Room Tip: You got no chancde a losin here. We got to see a few of the other cottages and they are all immacula...

“Very Convenient to Red Rocks”

We were going to a concert at the Red Rocks Amplitheatre. The Cliff House Lodge is the only hotel near the venue. The hotel is only about 1 mile from the venue and we took a taxi to the venue. You could hike up the road (up hill on the way to the venue, down hill on the way back), but since we were not use to the altitude we took the taxi. The hotel is rustic and the staff, especially Lichelle, were extra helpful and pleasant to make sure our stay was going to be a good one. Lichelle arranged for the taxi we took to the venue. We stayed in the honeymoon suite. It was comfortable with a hot tub in the corner of the room. These suites use to be studio apartments, so there is plenty of room. We received a bottle of champagne on our arrival. Which we enjoyed before going to the concert. There is a coffee maker in the room, so you can make your own coffee in the morning. Breakfast is served from 9-10am in your room. The breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, fruit which was quite tasty. If we go see another concert at Red Rocks (a beautiful, amazing venue), we will definitely stay at the Cliff House Lodge.

“Not worth the money and full of bugs”

Thought it would be a very nice place. Turned out to be one of the worst places we have ever stayed and way way over priced. Very old and smells like it and full of bugs. They doubled charged us so beware. They said we smoked in the room and my husband and I don't smoke.

Room Tip: Full of bugs.

“Kitchy and Shabby but Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

We stayed on my husband's 50-something birthday night -- with a concert at Red Rocks. It wasn't super clean and sterile but we chose not to stay at a commercial hotel for a reason! It had character! We stayed in Canterbury and it was just right for us. Soft bed, wonderful hot tub, iPod dock for more music, fantastic breakfast and gracious hosts. As we are well traveled -- we called this our hippy-chic experience and were very satisfied! Will we be back -- yes! Next concert at Red Rocks! Just go with funky fun expectations and you will have a great experience!

Room Tip: Always be nice! Nobody upgrades a grouch.

“Not worth the money”

We have stayed here many times over the last 10 years. This time I won't be back. Each time it keeps getting worse. Rooms have become tacky with leftover antiques from the local antique store. Refrigerator doesn't work right, coffee pot in room didn't work, remote controls for Tv didn't work and they advertised free wireless( never got it working).
Couch is covered with old comforters and just dirty.

We had the biggest most expensive suite and just wasn't worth the money. Breakfast came and it was two eggs, potatoes and one piece of bacon with a glass of OJ.
