I stayed here and conducted a two-day business meeting the week of August 8th. I used the meeting room and breakfast services which were all great. This is a HI Express, so there's no kitchen/resturant. You arrange to have whatever food service you need and then they bring it in. I used Pine Cone Catering Compnay, local to Montrose. The food was very good and reasonable priced.

An included hot breakfast is included in your room rate that includes, pre-made cheese omellettes, fruit, toast, bagels, etc.

On the hotel room side, the rooms were clean and comfortable.

If you are wanting to fy into Montrose, the regional airport is served by Delta and United. There may be others. I flew into Denver and drove - about 6 hours over the Rockies. In the summer it's a great drive. I would not do that in the winter months as snow closes I-70 when it gets bad up there. Be prepared for high airfares into regional airports in locales like this.

I had reserved a room with a king bed, but was given a room with a queen bed. When I asked to change, the clerk at the front desk said that wasn't possible because they were sold out. His rude tone and manner were really below what I expected from Holiday Inn.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past. On my most recent stay, it seems like a new place!!! I was so impressed by the staff!! From Ryan and Cassey at the front desk to Karen Fox. WOW! The hotel was so much cleaner than in the past. I asked Gigi in the breakfast room about the hotel and she stated a lot of changes have been made. She said she has never been so happy to work at the hotel. I had a nice room with a fireplace. I needed an airport shuttle and Karen Fox was my driver. She was a hoot!! I never have experienced such great service. The manager, Helen, was sincerely interested in my stay, I used to stay at the Hampton Inn when in Montrose, but now the Holiday Inn Express will be my hotel of choice!! I can't believe that this is the same hotel where I stayed two years ago. Such a great place! Shantell in the bar was so very nice too. I will be back!!

I had the pleasure of dealing with Karen Fox and her staff recently in renting a meeting room and holding an event. We rented the room with short notice to hold a luncheon after a funeral. I can't even begin to describe how over the top helpful Karen was. She must be the most kind, helpful and devoted staff member in the history of Holiday Inns. She is very deserving of special recognition as I know as special as she treated me and our guests.....I am sure she does that for everyone who walks through the door at Holiday Inn. I thought of the show Undercover Boss and how she could easily be a secret link to the success of this hotel. Thank you Karen Fox! Thank you Holiday Inn.
