Very nice, clean hotel. I was impressed to find snacks and water when we arrived. It is a very nice touch to welcome you. The decor was nice, We got a good price also. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I even loved the smell of the towels. A small thing, but it was a nice clean smell. The breakfast was good. The normal breakfast fare. The rooms are very small. We found ourselves rearranging the room, so we could use the desk and have room for two suitcases. The windows could use a set of sheers, So, you can open the window without everyone being able to see in your room. My only true problem with this hotel was the shower. It had one soap shelf. I had to set my shampoo and conditioner on the floor of the shower. An extra shelf would be perfect for razors and shampoos. We were unfortunate to get a first floor room, so we could here people walking above us overnight, but could hear no noise from outside.

Should you need to stop on the road, in the vicinity of an unknown town, Hampton Inns will never disappoint you: there's everyhing you need for a good night's rest and a full - and complimentary - morning breakfast.

The property is not brand new and I suggest management to go for some renovations: light bulbs, A/C in the gym...

Being a light sleeper, being on ground floor wasn't too much fun.

We spent a night in Montrose during our vacation and stayed at the Hampton Inn. The hotel offered a continental breakfast in the mornings. The hotel has an indoor pool and spa that were nice although they were full of kids most of the evening. It would be great for a family with kids, however the chance to swim some laps was non-existent but the spa was nice. There is also a computer for guest use as well.

The room was typical and the beds were comfortable. Except for some kids running down the hallways in the evening, the hotel was a pleasant stay and I would probably stay there again. It was on the north end of town and most of the strip malls, dining was towards the south, but the driving wasn't that much.

After booking at a not-so-great hotel, we got out of that and immediately called the new Hampton Inn we had passed on the way in to town. It was right by the airport, so very convenient for us too. The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful about everything, from giving us chips & water at check-in, to agreeing to let us do a late check out so we could catch a late afternoon plane. They were very nice. Laundry facility was nice too and only $1 to wash and $1 to dry - much less than a few others we stayed at on this trip. We didn't eat the breakfast, but it looked nice. And when my grandson asked for milk (after breakfast was closed and over with), they graciously got him milk with a smile! Very nice people at every station in the hotel, and lots of hellos and "nice to see you" spoken throughout the hotel.
