The wife and I stayed here 3/24/09 to 3/27/09 in the Angler Room that is downstairs and next to the kitchen. We got a very reasonable deal for $99 a night. It was a rustic place and fit nicely with the theme of the inn. I found the bed and the room had plenty of space for us to do what is intended at a bed and breakfast. My only complaint is Chester the Molester. That’s right, they shower curtain would not stop fondling my every move because they still have the old ones that run straight across. It is entirely too close for comfort. If I got felt up one more day, I would have checked out. As mentioned in other post, the bedrooms are kept hot and you need to crack a window throughout the night but it wasn’t a big deal.
Breakfast wasn't bad, just very basic considering this was supposed to be a GREAT B&B. I would have to say the Breakfast was disappointing. The scrambled eggs were not good and yes, mostly overcooked. The pancakes were excellent and worth the money. So we were 1 for 3 on breakfast. I don’t drink coffee but my wife as well as the other quest loved it. Most asked where they could purchase some of the specific coffee. Erin, the inn keeper, was extremely nice and helpful. She made the stay worth it for us. She was informative and pleasant with any question or assistance we needed.
On a side note, on the coffee table in front of the fireplace in the main lobby. There is a book on the history of Vail. Very detailed and very interesting. If you are sitting there waiting on your wife as I do often, I suggest checking it out.
