“Perfect location, Friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2011

The location for this hotel is perfect for all the attractions we were in Manitou Springs for! The staff was very friendly and my wife loved having coffee all day in the lobby. The pool was a very nice indoor pool with lots of room in the pool area. I loved the hot tub after driving all day. Ample parking and just seconds from downtown Manitou Springs, and minutes from Pikes Peak Cog Railroad Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Seven Falls and literally behind the Garden of the Gods.

There was only one problem and hopefully they will correct the issue. We needed to check out early and there was not a soul to be found at the front desk. I had to leave my keys on the desk and leave and could not buy ice for my trip as promised by a sign on the ice machine. I also could not get in the front door while loading my van, there was no "key access" at the front entrance. I had to walk around a poorly lit parking lot to get in the side entrance. My wife was concerned because of the possible emergency situations that could happen (fire, crimes etc) and there not being someone there to assist. This was the ONLY problem with our stay and came at the end unfortunately.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view!

“New, clean and close to Pikes Peak”

We were passing through the area and did not book - chanced upon the Days Inn and were not disappointed. The hotel is new and clean and has everything we needed for a one-night stay. I disagree with a previous reviewer who said the man on the desk was hard to communicate with. Sure, if it's the same man, he had a European accent but he went out of his way to help us with directions to nearby restaurants and attractions. We ended up eating at the Thai restaurant down the road on the opposite side. The continental breakfast was pretty standard fare and if I was to make one small complaint it would be that during breakfast the television was very loud and stuck on a religious channel. I have no problem with religion being observed but in a public space like the breakfast room one might suggest this is not appropriate...but as I said a small complaint that does not take away from the positives of the hotel.

“No complaints from me.”

We stayed at the Days Inn in Manitou Springs for two nights during spring break. The property was clean and we had no problems with service.

The indoor pool and hot tub was so nice after a long day of sight seeing and hiking. There were always plenty of towels by the pool and in our room.

Breakfast was good for a continental. They had recently added a serve yourself waffle iron to the breakfast lineup and this made it better. Also was fresh fruit, bagles, English muffins, toast, oatmeal, dry cereal, juice, milk, etc. The breakfast area was very clean and the staff was attentive to the room when there was a lot of guest eating.

Location is close to all the main attractions. For the price and location we would definitely stay again.

“Clean rooms but sketchy area of town.”

I traveled here in the off-season (winter) and was amazed at how dumpy Manitou Springs is! I thought it would be a cute, touristy area to stay in while seeing CO SPRINGS. As a solo female traveler, I would say its not a safe area. The McDonalds down the road was shockingly dirty, with a homeless guy inside collecting free straws. It may be that its only a problem area in the off-season. I also found the local Domino's delivery guys to be a bit sketchy as well as the night clerk at this hotel. And I've lived in some of the biggest cities in the U.S. so I'm not easily creeped out by a bad neighborhood. The hotel itself was very clean and my suite room had big flat screen TV and nice sitting area with mini couch and table. Free wireless in the room. My only other BIG complaint was that the front desk people placed an obviously sick, coughing person in the room next to me (this when the hotel must have been 98 per cent empty!). He coughed all night and guess who is now sick - me!
