I was sharing a hotel with my frugal father so I needed something comfortable but cheap. This fit the bill nicely. I lived in this town a few years ago and was back to help my father empty his storage unit.
PROS:
+Clean, well-maintained.
+Management was friendly and accommodating. They had no trouble splitting the bill for us.
+Breakfast selection was good for the price (free): yogurt, apples, oranges, muffins and waffles were plentiful.
+Pool looks nice for summer months (closed winter).
+Outdoor hot tub was open in January. I did not try it -- brrr!
+Easy access to local attractions:
++ Eldorado Canyon State Park (hiking, gawking at the daredevil rock climbers)
++ Louisville Rec. Center (water slide, pro-level cycling classes, cheap prices even for non-residents)
++ Tao Asian Fusion restaurant across the street (a favorite among local Asian-Americans)
++ Old Louisville Inn (in downtown Louisville: local, domestic & imports beers on tap; excellent fish & chips)
CONS:
-TV was always on in the lobby/breakfast area. The din of morning talkshows made for unpleasant background noise.
-Highway noise was noticeable. I always sleep with earplugs, so it didn't bother me.
-Toilet had one of those high-pressure, "power flush" tanks, which made for a clean toilet bowl, but was also very noisy after late-night trips to the john.
