“If you want a clean place to sleep on do not stay here.”

We booked two nights on this place. When I made the reservation I made a mistake and booked this hotel when I meant to book the super 8 twin peaks hotels I called to ask if we could cancel or move our reservation to the other super 8 they said no so we decided to stay there. When we first arrived the guy that checked us in had no idea what he was doing he had to call someone on the phone for everything after 15 minutes he checked us in, I had reserved a king size bed he gave us a queen i called and he changed our room to a king size bed when we first walked in the room it smelled like smoke i asked him if it was nonsmoking and he said "it's supposed to be" the bathroom smelled like smoke the whole time and it was old and not clean not to mention the sheets and bed smelled like smoke too and our room was on the "nonsmoking floor (2nd) only half of the channels worked on the tv, the furniture was falling apart we didn't even used the table in the room because we were afraid it was going to break and we would end up paying for it, the bathroom door would not lock, bar next door was very loud all night, the next morning i asked for housekeeping service and the housekeeper told the manager that my husband had refused the service the manager went up to the room and talked to my husband when the housekeeper saw him she said she had gotten confused with another room. for our second night the rest of my family coming from another state joined us when we went to the front desk to see if there was another room available the lady seemed to not want to give us a room first she asked how many people we had staying in the 2nd room we explained to her that only 3 people would stay in each room when we were ready to go to bed we unfolded the sleeping sofa in our room and it was filthy it seemed like it had not been cleaned in years it had dirt, hair, gum, food there was even coins there it was just awful so my sister decided to sleep in the sofa without having to unfold it since it was for one night only we asked the front desk for extra blankets so we could use them to cover the sofa and he said there was no blankets we were getting ready to get another room when he came up to the room with a blanket. These people made us feel like we were not wanted there working as a receptionist myself I know that these people have no idea what customer service means the hotel was not worth the price I will definitely not stay here again it has been the worst thing I have spent money on. If you want to have a nice, clean, place to sleep do not stay here.

Room Tip: There in no good rooms in this dump neighborhood is not safe.

“Extremely helpful desk staff, we definitely recommend it.”

Conveniently located off the frontage road near Hiway 119 and I-25.This is a super busy intersection so a convenient location is a huge plus. The motel is super clean, rooms are large and very well equipped. The grounds are neat and well manicured. There is a washer and dryer conveniently located on the main floor. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

“Horribe place”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2011

We had booked a handicapped accessible room for one night. They didn't have it when we got there. The man behind the counter was belligerant, and theatened my husband, telling him to "get out" and that he was "trespassing." What we saw of the hotel was awful...dirty and shabby.

Placed reservation and spoke to a on site manager. Her wonderful customer service was why I decided to book with them. She informed me of all the Hotels perks and a few extra bonus suggestions. Overall I was very pleased and would highly recommend to everyone. Wonderful price, Service, and a great Breakfast.

Thanks Laura

“Not Worth the Low Price”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2010

I am not a very fussy traveler. I'm not against going low budget and I certainly do not expect perfection when I stay at a hotel with a relatively cheap rate. However, I simply cannot give the Super 8 Longmont/Del Camino my recommendation.

Trouble started right away upon check-in. I had reserved a room with a King-sized bed via Super 8's website. I was told by the very nice and apologetic but slow lady at the desk that a King was not available. I had no problem taking a Queen instead. However, once I got into the room...well, if that was a Queen-sized bed, I'm the King of Siam. It was more like a slightly over-sized double and not all that comfortable for either myself of my sweetie (not to mention that the mattress was not very firm).

Trouble continued as I looked over the room upon first entering it. It was worn which is to be expected for a budget-minded hotel that has had a high amount of guest traffic. What got my attention right away was the rings on both of the night stands. These were not leftover impressions of wet drinks left on them from long ago but were sticky -- remnants of the previous guests' soda pop cans that were not cleaned by the staff.

The condition of the room was pretty bad. Aside from the worn, beaten furniture and stained bedspread, there was a lot of dust around especially in the drawers which I did not dare use. This was not good for my sweetie as she is quite susceptible to allergy attacks when there is blowing debris in the room.

To her benefit, the inefficient air conditioner did not do much constant blowing. No matter what temperature I set it at, it would not remain on for longer than a couple of minutes before shutting off. It sort of did its job but we could never get it to really cool off or air out the stuffy room.

The condition of the bathroom was also pretty bad. Saying that it had not been given a new coat of paint in the last couple of years would be the overstatement of the decade. The innards of the toilet were very old and it would leak enough out of the tank every 30 minutes or so that it would very loudly fill itself up again. In addition, it was definitely a "jiggle the handle" model after flushing.

Worst of all were the thin walls. Anybody doing anything in the adjoining rooms or the one upstairs could be heard, often in the most painful and unwanted detail. Adding to the in-room noise was a very inefficient mini-fridge that made a racket every time it tried to make its innards cool (which was about every 15 to 20 minutes).

On the good side, the outside area was relatively quiet considering it is right next to I-25 and some industrial buildings, the area seemed safe, and the towels were nice and soft. Amazingly enough, this motel has the best television reception I have experienced anywhere in the greater Denver/Fort Collins area even at places that cost twice as much.

Still, a good TV picture and a few other minor perks do not even come close to making up for what a motel room most importantly needs to provide -- a clean space to stay in and a good night's sleep. Considering their recent push to do much more television advertising to bring in more guests, if I were a big-wig at Super 8, I would definitely want to inspect this location and consider very carefully if this motel is what I would want to have representing my brand. Yes, most people know not to expect the world from Super 8 but this is just too much to ask them to accept.

My recommendation -- pay the extra money and stay somewhere else in Longmont whether along I-25 or in the city itself. The money saved by staying at this motel is NOT worth it.
