Recently the city of Longmont was hit with a snow storm that knocked electricity/heat out to half of the city. Residents were scrambling to go to shelters or to find accommodating hotels. While most of the hotels in the city took the opportunity to hike their rates up, the Plaza Hotel actually provided a 50% discount off of retail to all residents who were affected by the storm. They didn't charge extra for pets and were accommodating on every level. Excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and fantastic goodwill!

This is not a bad hotel but the property is shopworn and desperately in need either of an update or designation as a retro 1970s landmark. We arrived late, traveling with kids, and were given an "upgrade" to the Governor's Suite when the two-bedroom accommodation we had reserved was unavailable. There were no sheets on the sofabed for our kids and no staff to help. We were handed sheets and a mattress pad and that was it (so much for "full-service hotel"). The "smokeless" room smelled of tobacco. Then there was the sliding glass wall between the sleeping area and the bathtub. Uhhh riiight -- family place. Staff was friendly but that didn't make up for the other stuff. PS Loved the "Radisson" sign with the black spray paint out front.

Spent one night in July. Hotel is an older business center type place. Lobby and rooms were dated but generally clean. Whole area was sold out that week and price was very high for quality of room, suspect I paid a premium rate so didn`t consider a good value

I booked the hotel on a whim for my husband. He stayed here on a business trip. He said the location could not have been better. The bed was comfy, huge desk in room for him to work at. He also said the restaurant had great food. "Best chicken, I've ever had." he said.
