“A super great family, manages this establishment.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2009

My I just say, that as a business owner, I really appreciated the Passport Inn. It is family owned and managed by the sweetest young family. THe rooms are not fancy and could use updating, but comfortable. THe prices was even with all of the other motor inn's in the area as far as price. It is in the heart of town, close to a bakery, restaurant and tavern. They have hi-speed wireless and the water was HOT! We got a ground floor room, for no extra charge. I enjoyed my stay here for what it was. A inexpensive place to stay with coffee, wireless, and clean sheets. Thanks folks for making my trip to Lamar nice!!

“Passport Inn looking up”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2008

I am a regular business traveler to Lamar and have stayed in many of the motels in this town. I stayed at the Passport Inn because they have large rooms and were the best value, but left when it was obvious the managers were not taking care of the property. I returned last week when I found out a new manager was running the motel and immediately noticed a positive change in attitude and room cleanliness. In fact, I am sitting in one of the motel rooms now writing this review using their free wireless internet service. I find the Passport Inn a nice compromise between price and accommodations.

“cheao, dirty, noisy”

the property is the oldest and dirtiest motel in town, no wonder it was cheap. being right on mainstreet and above bar did not help me go to sleep at all, and on top of that the railroad is just across the motel so everytime the train passes the i woke up from whatever sleep i was getting. i wish i had stayed at other motel even though they were little bit expensive. noit at all suitable for business people or family.

“worst motel I have ever stayed in”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 May 2008

I think this is definitely the worst motel I have ever stayed in. let's see...

no maids;
cheap soap;
no shampoo;
tiny grey towels;
someone shorted out the air conditioner leaving a blackened wall socket and air conditioner broken;
hole in bathroom door;
challenging mattress;
"don't ask" bed-spreads;
"keep your shoes on" carpet;
empty beer bottle behind radiator;
dirty toilet seat;
dead flies on window sill;
Mr. Coffee in lobby without pot or coffee;
no breakfast and no place to get breakfast;
fat guy in underwear lying on bed watching TV with his door open next door;
fight every night (so far) in parking lot sometime after midnight;

Stayed May 2008
