“Nice for Price and Proximity”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Let's get right to the point: Comfortable beds, Clean Bathroom, Nice big TV, Ironing board, DeHumidifier, 2 Fans!, Mini-Fridge, Safe box, plenty of electrical outlets, great lighting, always hot showers, excellent view of Mountains. The place also has 3 hot tubs, bar/lounge with Pool Table/Fireplace/games/excellent bartenders, friendly staff/service. The ONLY negative i had was PETS. There were rooms designated as Pet friendly; HOWEVER, it looks like ALL the sheets/blankets get washed together because there was pet hairs on both beds in our 'non-pet' room. Albeit, there were not many hairs, and i didn't 'itch' in bed, but it wasn't pleasant to see on the bed or my clothes. We did not need to use the heater as the blankets are warm enough, actually even opened the window. Really liked that they had Fans in the room for air circulation and noise helping sleep. Food is pricey, but good. Oh yeah, they also include free Lockers in the basement for your ski gear, and some covered parking is available. The Inn is easy walking distance to Mountain House Ski area (~200 yds), as well as River Run village/shops (~1/2 mile). Lakeside Ice Skating/shopping area is walkable (~1 mile).

Room Tip: Hot Tubs are located at basement level, 4th floor, and 6th floor. Most rooms face South (toward mou...

“Perfect stay in Keystone!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

This was my first trip to keystone and it was beyond my expectations! Easy walk from hotel to ski lifts. Free lockers with key for snowboard storage (2 fit with a little effort). Easy parking with free valet available. The room was very comfortable with coffe pot, hair dryer, fan, humidifier, digital cable and free wi fi. In house bar and dinning. Other dinning options within walking distance. The goat is next door; great value on really good bar food. I plan to return next year!

“Friendly Staff, Good Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

From the time we checked in to the time we left, every hotel staff member we encountered (even the one booting us from the hot tub after it's official 10 p.m. closing time) were exceedingly friendly. The reception staff was gracious, the bartenders had advice on beers and other local hangouts, and everyone was just plain nice. The hotel itself was a good value if not particularly stylish. The one-bedroom suite we stayed in was spacious, with two bathrooms and two huge closets, and could easily house four people with plenty of room to spare. It's about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the ticket window and ski lifts, and there is an $4 overnight ski check at Keystone itself if you don't want to haul your equipment each day. We didn't bring a pet, but the hotel is dog friendly and we saw a few mutts at the daily "yappy hour" at the bar. Not sure we'd bring a dog though, didn't see anywhere nearby to run and the main road is pretty busy.

“Watch out for extra charges”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

Booked on hotels.com, but informed at checkout there's a $10.40 a day resort charge. Also only half the parking for rooms, extra charges for valet to offsite parking. Also, it's really too far to walk back after a long day of Skiing, maybe 300 yards as the crow flys, but you have to wind over a bridge, parking lot, etc... Finally the various hot tubs on the upper floors are nice, but not well maintained, floor 5 was out of order, the others had so much ice on the steps there were dangerous. That's about all the bad, really a great value and I'll be staying there again.
