Check in started with the clerk handing me back my credit card and saying "uh-uh, no way" after informing me that check in is 3 pm (which is fine, but what an awful greeting).
The room was filthy. The kitchen area was filthy. The waste basket had food and litter. There was a cook top, but no pots or pans or utensils to cook with.
The bathroom wastebasket was overflowing with dirty diapers. The "trash room" was a closet full of garbage and bugs -- mounds and mounds of garbage that looked like it had been there for days. The bathroom also featured the previous guest's soap, razor and dirty towels in the tub. The sink and counter was covered with hair.
Almost everything was broken or ripped up in the room. The furniture was well worn. The smell in the room was so bad I had to go out late to Target next door to get room deodorizer. It did help a bit, but it was a worthless cause.
The sheets were full of crumbs and hair.
One of the reasons why everything was so filthy is that this hotel does not offer maid service, except for when guests check out.
There is WiFi, but I could not get a signal strong enough to complete the sign up process. Only one bar and it would not stay up long enough to agree to the TOS.
The good news is the windows had locks, but the tracks were broken so that anyone standing outside could push the windows in.
And to top it all off, someone pulled the fire alarm at 4 am. I went to my car to stay warm and seriously considered spending the rest of the night there.
I have pictures to post, so please check them out as well. Would I recommend this hotel to a friend? Nope, not even to an enemy.
