“The worst in Denver - a no star”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2007

Took another gamble with Priceline - usually a great way to go. This place was atrocious, far inferior to the one star Days Inn in Castle Rock we stayed in six months ago. Telephone and TV remote control inoperable; TV so dark (bad tube) that it was almost worthless. Two pillows on the bed were so flat/lumpy that we went to office (remember the phone was out) and they gave us two more - these two were like two 18" x 18" laundry bags stuffed with old clothes. Place also stunk of cigarette smoke and the barking dogs in the room next door were wonderful too (paper thin walls/door). Do not stay here.

“What A Disaster!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2007

Wife and I booked direct for a 5 day stay after receiving assurance from the General Manager that all all previous
Trip Adviser negative reviews had been corrected.

Unfortunately this proved totally incorrect - problems as follows:

No hot water in kitchen and vanity outlets and in shower only
after running water for 5 minutes plus.
The room was utterly dirty - including phone, which we cleaned,
silverware, which was lacking, stove top, counter top,
side of refrig, as well as inside refrig.
After cleaning the phone found it did not work, either for local
calls or even reaching the front desk.
No remote for TV, had to go to front desk and request one.
Were almost afraid to use the bed - unkempt, blanket was dirty
with black marks on it.
Outside of building seriously in need of repair and upkeep,
grounds were dirty with various litter.

Checked out first thing next morning - overheard some others guests saying they were also checking out.

“This place is OK”

Our experience with this hotel was just fine. This was a trip where all we were going to do was sleep and bathe and then take off for the entire day. So, we were not looking for a hotel that provided much more than a clean bathroom and comfortable bed. We booked at a discount hotel website (the kind where you bid and then find out where you are going to stay). Like others, were scared at what we would find based on other reviews. Keep in mind that this is rated a 2 Star hotel. The location is excellent, the exterior was well maintained. The lobby was clean, the front desk friendly. The first non-smoking room we were given was definitely NOT non-smoking. The front desk went the "extra mile" to find us a nice non-smoking room. The room was clean enough (a few minor issues that didn't even warrant a complaint). The important things were all just fine - clean bathroom and comfortable bed. Don't expect alot of amenities. Be sure to bring shampoo and lotion (all they provide is a couple of bars of soap). The kitchen seemed fine even though we only used the coffee maker. Maybe the hotel has improved from when the other reviews were written, but our experience was much more positive than anything else I read.

“Not as bad as the reviews suggest, but...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2006

We booked this hotel on a discount travel site, and the saying "You get what you pay for" rings true here. The reviews scared me, but since it was paid for we decided to take a look at it when we got to Denver. We were only here for one night, and I'm glad that's all we paid for. The exterior is very run down. I would not have even given it a second look if driving by. I wouldn't say the inside was dirty, but it wasn't overly clean either. One of the door locks (the type that still allows you to open the door) had been broken off and was completely unusable. The bed was the worst part. There were some huge stains on the mattress where someone had likely spilled coffee. I woke up with a few bites on my legs that I may have gotten while sleeping.

“Dirty! Used to be a nice place but changed names and now I would not recommend”

I used to stay at this motel twice a year, going back to 2002. The rooms have a large refrigerator, tiny stove, microwave and dishwasher as well as iron, ironing board and a small counter area and couch. The rooms were getting worse each time I visited and with my last visit some interesting characters were running a business out of a room close to ours with young men hanging out and coming and going until late into the evening. The cleaning staff do not come in and clean every day and the rooms have just gotten filthy (we were told at the front desk that they only clean once a week). The first room they gave us had not been cleaned at all with unmade beds, dirty towels and smelled terrible! The second room had the bed made up but the sheets had not been changed. Since it was better than the first room, and after driving 350 miles we were so tired that we asked for a vacuum, sheets, towels, etc... and cleaned the room ourselves. This was the last time I stayed there and wont be returning.
