My husband and I made a trip to Grand Junction for some business he had to do and also wanted to try to combine some personal time off as well. We chose the Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown and were not disappointed. This was a great hotel with very modern and up to date decor/accommodations. We had a one bedroom suite. We had three large windows with a view of historic Main Street. It was very nice and very comfortable, with a kitchenette, living room, dining area and separate bedroom. There was 42" flat screen TV’s in the living and bedroom areas. The hotel had a nice eating area that served breakfast which was included in the room and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were also able to bring along our small dog that travels with us quite frequently. So, it was great that it was dog friendly. The hotel also had a nice pool and outdoor hot tub as well. The hotel sits on historic Main Street, which is a very quaint area. You basically can walk out of the hotel onto Main Street and find boutique shopping, ice cream, restaurants, bars, etc. At night the area is lit up very nicely with white lights. The only critique I would ad is that the pool hours were somewhat strange (9a-9p) and not conducive to business travelers, there were times that we couldn't reach anyone at the front desk and the elevator was really slow. Overall however, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Matter of fact, if we do back to Grand Junction in the future, this is definitely where we will stay! :)
