“Wonderful Place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2012

My husband and I made a trip to Grand Junction for some business he had to do and also wanted to try to combine some personal time off as well. We chose the Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown and were not disappointed. This was a great hotel with very modern and up to date decor/accommodations. We had a one bedroom suite. We had three large windows with a view of historic Main Street. It was very nice and very comfortable, with a kitchenette, living room, dining area and separate bedroom. There was 42" flat screen TV’s in the living and bedroom areas. The hotel had a nice eating area that served breakfast which was included in the room and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were also able to bring along our small dog that travels with us quite frequently. So, it was great that it was dog friendly. The hotel also had a nice pool and outdoor hot tub as well. The hotel sits on historic Main Street, which is a very quaint area. You basically can walk out of the hotel onto Main Street and find boutique shopping, ice cream, restaurants, bars, etc. At night the area is lit up very nicely with white lights. The only critique I would ad is that the pool hours were somewhat strange (9a-9p) and not conducive to business travelers, there were times that we couldn't reach anyone at the front desk and the elevator was really slow. Overall however, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Matter of fact, if we do back to Grand Junction in the future, this is definitely where we will stay! :)

Room Tip: Rooms with view of historic main street on upper level

“Nice stopover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 April 2012

Stayed here on the way from Denver to Moab ... and would recommend to others looking for a break. Very nice Fairfield (newer property with large, clean, quiet rooms) in a nice area. The beds, however, are kinda memory-foamish ... not something I was used to at other Marriotts ... some in my party liked, some didn't. Seems totally safe (cute downtown). Good parking (shared with the Hampton next door) but does cost extra (not much). Friendly staff. Decent free breakfast. Very well priced.

I stayed here on my way to Moab, Utah. Only about 80 miles away. Room was large and clean. Free breakfast. Modern feel. Can walk anywhere and felt safe. Pool and hottub. Washer and dryer availabe on the hall. Bed was very comfy.

“An excellent hotel after a long day on the road.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 April 2012

We arrived on a Thursday evening to a loud lobby due to live music being provided (Thursday evenings). The staff was very friendly. The hotel sits in a nice part of town. There is a small parking fee. The rooms are quite comfortable (standard Fairfield layout). Our room on an upper floor was pretty quiet (had some loud motorcycle traffic outside on occasion). We struggled to get the internet to work in our room (wired didn't work, wireless had a weak signal). Everything was very clean. The breakfast was OK (no hot foods for a vegetarian except waffles). All in all a nice place.

“Huge spacious clean rooms, helpful staff, nice breakfast...great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 March 2012

We had a huge room with two queens, plenty of room to stretch out, very clean, nice amenities, a very comfortable quiet room. The only drawback was the $5 parking charge for using their lot. Had no problem with the fee, but the front desk should have disclosed the fee when they asked me if I was going to park there. The front desk was helpful in other matters though, so minor oversight.
NIce self serve breakfast with hot food, and nice selection of choices.
