The hotel was clean, in a safe neighborhood, a few blocks from Whole Foods, and the bus stop was only a block away. However, I was very upset that the outside doors to both residential towers had no outside locks. Although no incidents occurred, I can not recommend this hotel unless the management installs card readers on all outside entry doors. Other than the unlocked door problem, the hotel was fine.

No frills hotel. Room was clean and hotel was convenient to local friends we were having dinner with. Easy access from highway and gas next door. Not cheapest in area.

Days Inn in general we find can be hit or miss. But this one for sure was a must miss! We arrived only to find that our rooms were below freezing temp upon walk-in. The room blower was left on blowing outside air on full blast all day while no one has it rented. It was about 28 degrees upon arrival. We decided to turn the heater on full blast and leave for awhile to let it warm up. We went to Downtown Golden - Nice little Town for Dinner. Expecting our room to be heated when we got back, It was just starting to feel a little warm, so we decided to walk to see the facilites they listed online - indoor pool, jacuzzi, weight room, The pool was outside and drained for the winter. The Jacuzzi was accessable from the weight room which was open and clean, but the Jacuzzi outside and not in working order as well. These are some of the items we had based out descion on and they were false. There is no way for heat to reach the bathroom and the floor is like ice even with door open the whole stay. A shower had luke warm water at best; letting the shower run for 20 minutes to try to heat it up. The room was clean looking, but the room smelt, carpet?? of kinda a moldy carpet cleaner smell. They also listed eatery - DayBreak I think it was called, Looks like a run down waffle house, staff there was very nice - but food was greasy waffle house style cookin' not what I expected from a hotel. I was truly disappointed, mostly by the fact we research our hotels online and this one had supplied information that was not quite honest.
We were tired after we came here from the airport. When we got there the toilet was broken we went to the front desk and asked if we could have it fixed but they said the maintenance guy had left for the day and it was like 7 o'clock. They had no breakfast in the morning. But at least they had a pool. We also saw someone peeing on the hotel premises in plain sight.
