My husband is from Golden and we were visiting and flew our children in and put them up here at the Hampton Inn. This is the 2nd time they've stayed here. The employees are terrific. The hotel is in great shape. Shopping (Colorado Mills Outlet) and restaurants everything you need is within minutes. It can be a little "tricky" at night; but once you figure out the intersection; you'll be fine. Use this as a jumping off point to Winter Park (1 hr.); Breckenridge (1.30 hr) or Keystone (1.30); also ski local at Loveland or A-Basin only 20 minutes down the road.

We recently stayed one night after arriving from a late flight in Denver and were greeted warmly by name by the desk clerk upon entrance (okay, we were the only reservation that had not checked in). The room was more than adequate (free wifi, mini fridge,etc) and the totally clean bed linens (including the duvet), delicious beds and great hot breakfast (although we did not take part except for coffee) make us rate this property highly. It IS tricky to find as the hotel sits slightly off the highway and has no highway sign that we could see so map it out before you leave!

The hotel was average with brightly colored carpets. The bathroom was very small and the walls were on the thin side. There was a view of the foothills from our room. The breakfast included a fruit mix that was inedible and an egg "pizza" that left much to be desired.

No complaints. The windows open, the beds are comfortable, and the staff friendly. Our room is über quiet. We have a small refrig and microwave in room. The decor is very pleasant. For us it is very well located and easy to find.
