“Great price, great people, great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

Wanted a place reasonable close to downtown (hot springs & caverns) that was reasonable. I didn't know this hotel had and indoor and outdoor pool but was an added bonus. Rooms are nice. Fridge and micro. BBQs all over and a grocery across the street. Free city bus right in front was added bonus again. If you motorcycle, the hotel provides bike rags as well! Cedar Lodge is a definite keeper.

“By far the "Best of the West". If you pass this by you lose.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

Large CLEAN rooms, FRESH breakfast bar, indoor pool/spa, and a very friendly staff.
We travel alot and we are "motel" people because we are on motorcycles and like to have them close. We have stayed at alot of places but this is by far the BEST !! Not only are the rooms exceptionally clean, they are very cozy. Very good restaurants easily within walking distance. On the "quiet" side of town. You will diffently be happy you made this choice.

“A Nice Place To Stay”

I was looking for a nice "clean" place to stay in Glenwood Springs for a few days and came across a few other locations to stay at. After reading the reviews on the other motels, it made my decision to stay at the Cedar Lodge easy. The motel is located a little bit down the road from where "everything" was, but that was a good thing for me and my family since it helped us stay away from the large crowds at the hot springs. The room was large and most important clean!! You get the typical continental breakfast starting at 7 which included waffles and danishes, coffee and juice. The motel had 2 swimming pools and a hot tub, that we were able to enjoy without a whole lot of people getting in the way.The only downside was the indoor pool was COLD! Overall, it was a nice place to stay.

My sisters and I stayed for a couple of days.
We loved our room, it had three beds and extra sofa beds. cable TV, fridge, microwave. Our room had a huge mirror and a couple of sinks that helped us girls get ready faster.
We didn't know what the continental breakfast was, it was ok, but It would be great if they seved eggs and bacon.
Looking forward to comming back soon. it is a great place.

“We've been staying here for years and always enjoy our stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

We recently went to Glenwood Springs- we usually go 2 to 3 times a summer and have for years and years. For probably the past 10 years, we have usually stayed at the Cedar Lodge. This time, I called a couple of other places to compare prices and I was quite pleased to find the Cedar Lodge was the best value once again. It is a basic motel, but we have always found it to be well maintained over the years, with changes made when needed. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave which is very helpful as we usually have an ice chest with lunch items for the pool the next day. When we arrive, they usually have cooled the room down some which is nice and they update the beds and all. The breakfast is a very nice spread of cold items such as cereals, yogurt, bagels, basic pastry items probably prepackaged and coffee, juice, milk, etc... It is not a buffet or anything, but we have found that other places in town say they have "breakfast" and it is basically and packaged sweet roll and coffee in the office. The Cedar Lodge has a nice breakfast room with about 9 4 seater tables so you can sit down and eat. I would have liked to see some fresh fruit, but hey- I''m not really compaining! For the rates, I was quite satisfied.
They also have a nice outdoor pool and an indoor pool and hot tub. I don't think I have ever been in them because our focus in going there is to spend a day or two at the Hot Springs Lodge and Pool and we are usually pooled out by the time we arrive there. They are very friendly and accomodating to us and we have appreciated the friendly touch such as having them recognize our name when we call and to be open about our arrival times. i would like to see them make a changeover from bedspreads to comforters that can be laundered as many places have- that is my preference. Just a thought. Thanks Cedar Lodge for many years of pleasure with our family!
