My husband and I stayed at Red Mountain Inn on a recent weekend trip to Glenwood Springs. We opted for the king bed in a cottage at the far end of the property. This is an old court-style motel/cabins but is updated and clean. Nothing fancy but our cottage came with a full kitchen and cooking utensils, including a coffee maker and coffee. People with pets are welcome and there is a grassy 'pet area.' The pool is not huge and 5 feet deep at most but was clean, as was the hot tub which we took advantage of. There are BBQ grills scattered between the cottages, as well as grills placed in a nearby grassy area, complete with picnic tables. We opted to sit at a picnic table on the hill one evening which afforded a pleasant view of the sunset over the mountains. Staff was friendly and there is a continental breakfast served in the main lobby. Vic's Route 6 Grill House is a couple of doors away where we enjoyed a cocktail, as well as an old style drive-in right next door for burgers and such, called Viccino's. On the other side of the motel is a mini golf with a number of water features, including a waterfall. The motel is about half a mile from the hot springs pool and the center of downtown Glenwood Springs. Our cottage for two cost $80/night.
