“Great deal in Frisco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Not much to add on top of what other reviewers have said - small, clean hotel at a fantastic price. Paid about 30% less than other chains nearby and much, MUCH less than hotels right in Frisco or in nearby towns.

Located on the edge of town, right off of highway 70 but at least in the winter, we didn't hear any traffic noise. The layout is a bit awkward with the way the bathroom is set up but that is certainly no deal breaker. Small continental breakfast (coffee, OJ, bagels, danishes, muffins) included in the cost of the room. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We didn't ski so I can't speak to the convenience to those amenities; however, Frisco seems to be close to the action but far enough to be less crowded and less expensive than Breckenridge or Vail. There is free public transport via the Summit Stage bus system that stops within blocks of the hotel every 30 minutes that will get you to downtown Breck in less than a half-hour. Safeway and Walmart are down the street a couple of blocks if you wanted to get a few groceries or snacks to keep in the in-room fridge. I believe there is a microwave to use in the basement. This is a dog-friendly hotel, which is pretty uncommon. We didn't bring our dogs and we didn't see (or hear or smell) any other guests' dogs.

Great budget-friendly option without sacrificing safety or cleanliness. Frisco is a cute little town with shops and lots of dining options but seems to be less crowded and more reasonable than surrounding towns.

“Incredible bargain, but even more than that.”

My family stayed here in January 2012 for its convenience to Breckenridge. I expected an inexpensive place to sleep, which is a refreshing change of pace from the overpriced, outdated chain hotels in this same area.
At first I was a bit taken aback that you had to CALL for a reservation. Call? Really?
What I found was an extremely clean, comfortable room with friendly owners willing to help your stay be a memorable one.
I can't recommend the Summit Inn highly enough.
Give them a call. You'll be happy you did.

“Cheap, clean, acceptable lodging but not great for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Positives are: inexpensive lodging, friendly front staff, cute lodge like decoration, clean room, hot shower. Negatives are: not a family friendly hotel because its set up with all beds in one room (people with kids on different sleeping schedules will understand this), tiny bathroom, limited room to unpack your items (a few drawers, no closet) and basic breakfast. If we were traveling without kids, this place is a great cheap stop but with kids its too small.

“Great value, great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

This hotel is wonderful - since it is very affordable, we didn't know what to expect. But upon arriving we were greeted w/ a smile surrounded in mountain cabin like decor (inside. outside it just looks like any other hotel). Don't expect luxury by any means, but it certainly is a great deal for what you pay for. Nice & quiet, cozy bed, cozy decor, mom & pop joint, doesn't feel like a chain hotel by any means.

“What a nice surprise!”

I was a little nervous when we booked a last minute room at a much lower rate than the other hotels in the area but what a nice surprise. Clean, efficient, quiet and comfortable. Slight plumbing problem or it would have been an excellent rating. We will go back.
