We stayed here for a conference that lasted 9 days in Fort Collins this past summer. We needed a place to stay extended, with our two small boys (2 and 1 yr old), and desired to have a kitchen as well as a hotel that provided breakfast... this hotel satisfied those needs at a good rate! The food was actually quite decent, more than I expected. They had something warm prepared every day, nothing special, but typically scrambled eggs, or biscuits and gravy, etc. They also had the usual cereal section, pastry's (although this selection was a bit limited to my liking with mostly toaster-type products), milk and juice, etc. But my personal favorite was the waffle maker. We have experienced waffle makers at many other hotel's as of late, but this hotel seemed to actually know how to mix the batter right because these waffles were much better!
The room was just fine. For our needs it was a bit of a downer that there was only one entrance and it came in through the main living room type area where the pullout bed was... for us that meant we couldn't leave the room once our kids were down for bed, and it made it difficult when we had babysitters - they had to just stay in our bedroom and hang out on our bed. This would not be an issue for everyone, but it just was a minor pain for us. Otherwise, the room could use some upgrading. The TV's are still old (quite old in fact) tube-style televisions, no flat panels here yet. We greatly appreciated the kitchen size though. It was basically a full kitchen. Full size fridge, stove/oven, microwave, sink, cabinets, and best of all a dishwasher! This was quite helpful for our stay with the little ones.
As for the service, we found the front desk staff fairly helpful, especially most of the daytime staff. However, the cleaning service was quite poor for our stay. We requested our room to be cleaned over a span of 3 of the days, and they failed to clean it any of those days. The first day, they came after we got back to the room in the late afternoon (around 3PM) when our kids were napping. So we requested to have them clean our room earlier in the day. This didn't seem to be a problem since every morning when we were leaving we would see the lady on our floor cleaning rooms down the hall. But every time we would get back in the afternoon for those 3 days, they still had not come. This happened again a couple days after they finally showed up, which was frustrating especially when our almost 3 year old had got sand in his bed (fail on our part) and we requested them to clean the room and change the sheets, but they never did until close to the end of our stay. This was the main reason I didn't give this a 5 rating.
We are not sure if we will stay there again, because we found that it was further from where we needed to be than it seemed on a map. But the stay was good enough that we would stay there again for any other reason if we needed to, and we recommend anyone needing some extra space and a kitchen to definitely consider this hotel.
