Where to start...refrigerator was not plugged in and cooled so it was worthless, mattress spring was popping out on the side of the mattress, MOLD AND MILDEW ON BATHROOM WALL ESPECIALLY ABOVE THE SHOWER, shower drain clogged and drained slowly, no hair dryer, SMOKE DETECTOR IN ROOM DOES NOT WORK - NO BATTERY AND COVER, no clock radio, inside of microwave was filthy.

This hotel is in need of a major overhaul! The decor in the room was very old and outdated. The grounds have an excessive amount of overgrown (knee high) weeds all along the perimeter. There seems to be only one employee day and night who lives in the hotel. I was concerned that the back door was unlocked 24hrs a day. I would feel more secure if it were locked at least after dark. Breakfast was not ready at 6:30 am and there was a sign on the lobby door stating that the hotel attendant was working on the grounds and would return shortly. Needless to say we had to be at a meeting by 7am and were not able to take advantage of the free breakfast that was included in our rate. We had to run through McDonald's drive thru and incur an additional unplanned expense. My opinion of Econolodge in general has just been lowered as a result of this hotel. I will pay a little more and stay somewhere else on my next trip.
