“Great Value- Nice Staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

I was there on Business and for personal reasons.
The staff took extra efforts to see that I had directions and maps to get where I needed to go.
Breakfast was standard for this chain. Nothing special

The biggest detractor is the trains that go behind the property. Loud and noisy. Not frequent- but they may wake a sound sleeper up_ sounds like a jet is taking off.

Prices were verygood for the area- competitive.
loaction, price, amenities made this a good value for the area.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the front of the property. There is a railway behind the building and the trains a...

“Not much Quality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

Thought this was going to be a decent hotel. Only needed one night so didn't need anything flashy. What we got was worse than average. We got no sleep due to the heater cycling on and off--- on for about 20 seconds, off for about 2 mins, on for 20 secs, off for 2 mins.....all night long. It was too cold to turn it off though. As if that wasn't bad enough, I'm pretty sure the sheets had not been washed. There was hair (lots of it), smeared mascara on the sheets and pillowcases, and other "things" in the bed. This was just gross! Also we were in room 210-- right above the swimming pool. We could hear all the noise from the pool area loud and clear. It did get quiet at 10:00 pm when the pool closes. The only reason I didn't mark it as "terrible" is because the room and bathroom were a nice size and the guy at the check-out was pleasant. We will be in the area again in 2 weeks, but will certainly not stay here.

Room Tip: In room 210, you can hear the noise from the pool.

“Great Location and really good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

This newish hotel is located near shopping, good restaurants and other major attractions. It was clean and very comfortable - probably the best Quality Inn we have ever stayed in. It was packed the weekend we were there (3 nights) but the staff took very good care of all the guests including during the complimentary breakfast. Don't be disarmed by the railroad tracks running at the back of the property. A city ordinace forbids the use of horns at intersections - they have a quiet warning system. Good value - we will return to this one.

“Okay - good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

This is the second time we've stayed here - this time I really noticed the negatives. Trash, e.g., candy wrappers, on the floor in the halls (I know the guests did this, but shouldn't the staff check frequently to be sure the hallways are clean?) and the bathroom sink in the room we were in (327) is very chipped and scarred. At first I thought it was bugs or hair, but then realized the vanity is made of some material (plastic?) that chips. REALLY needs to be replaced. Looks horrible.

Room seemed clean enough. I like these "suites" with the extra space.

Breakfast is from 6:30 - 9:30. We got down to the lobby at 6:35 - doors closed, room dark. The coffee was ready, but it was another 5 minutes or so before breakfast (which is so-so) was ready. AND the coffee ran out early on which is strange because there weren't very many people having breakfast at that time.

“Very good experience. I would stay here again if I was in the area.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

We arrived at about 4 p.m. and had no problem checking in. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Coffee and tea are available 24 hours a day. Breakfast was pretty good and available from 6:30 to 9:30. It got busy a little later in the morning, but the selection was good. Waffles, fruit, cereal, juices, hard boiled eggs, pastries and yogurt were always available. A hot selection was available each day. The first day, it was eggs and bacon. The second day it was eggs and biscuits and gravy. Food was refilled quickly.

We had a king bed suite that faced the foothills. Amazing view and the windows even open to get some fresh air. We didn't even have to turn the air on and slept with the window open. Both the bed and the sofa bed were comfortable and the fridge/microwave was very handy to have in the room. My only (very minor) complaint about the room is that when the sofa bed is out, there isn't much room to walk from one end of the room to the other and we had a hard time finding somewhere to put the coffee table. If you didn't need to use the sofa bed there would be plenty of room and there was lots of room to put suitcases.

Location was very good. The hotel is just off College and very easy to find. There are lots of restaurants nearby and it's very easy to get to I-25 or Old Town.

There is a train track behind the hotel and there are some trains that run in the night but they didn't bother us at all. We even had the window open and barely heard them. If you're a light sleeper, you may want to bring some earplugs, but I pretty much take trains as par for the course out here.

We did not use the pool or hot tub but they looked very nice. The exercise room is very small with one weight machine, an elliptical and a bike. However, there is a nice trail that runs behind the hotel in order to get your exercise fix. We didn't really have time.

The hotel is decorated very nicely and is very clean. The only thing I wish it had is an outdoor seating area like a picnic table or something. We were looking for someplace to sit and enjoy the weather but settled for our room.

Overall, I was very impressed with my stay and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The King Suites are on the side facing the mountains. The queen suites are facing the city.
