“Nice Building - Not So Nice Hospitality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

Was initially impressed with physical layout but that was only good impression my wife and I were to come away with after 4 nights in this establishment. The owner's teenage son who had the desk duty on several occasions was condescending and unhelpful on more than one occassion - I fully agree with "wyodiva" impressions of this young man's refusal to be helpful. In particular, I asked him to convey a recommendation to the owner and was told that the owner probably wouldn't listen to the recommendation - thanks a lot! - Choice Privelege members and any other guest deserves better than that.

1. Coffee not available after 5 PM - half of lobby darkened (to make yourself a nightime cup of tea is really difficult using the Braille method!) - owner's nephew advised that "we don't turn lights on bacause no one goes there" - of course not!
2. Internet service is very spotty at night.
3. Maid service neglected to clean our room - returned late at night to unmade bed, no towels, etc.
4. Parking lot and porte-cochere area trecherous for three full days after a snowstorm - solid ice with no attempt by management to provide clear parking slots or to apply melting crystals to entry area or walkways.
5. Restaurant recommendations consisted of listing the 5 fast food establishments at the nearby intersection - no help there!
6. Breakfast hours not extended/modified on weekends/holidays as at other Comfort Suites.

My overall impression of this establishment was a management attitude of disdain for their residents - I honestly felt that we guests were considered a nuisance and a disruption to their routine. Now that I think about it, I never once saw a smile on the face of any staff member!

Untrained family members and relatives should be replaced by hotel staff who want to do a good job.

My next trip to the Longmont area will be spent at the Hampton Inn.

“Details matter!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011 via mobile

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel & ironically I ended up in the same room as my trip over a month ago. At appox $100 a night, I expect the management to pay attn to details. I'm a loyal Choice Privledge member which has earned me a platinum status which is supposed to allow for upgrades when available. The front desk clerk made it sound as though I was getting just that. However, that wasn't the case. Im not typically super picky. But I felt as though I was put in a room w several issues and my concerns where not validated. I found the following issues:

*standard room despite the fact upgrade WAS available.

*broken swing lock which management knew of but hadn't repaired prior to renting out.

*issues connecting to Internet which resulted in attempt to call front desk for help.....

*non-working phones, unless you count the 'off the hook' sound one makes even when hung up. Image them aware last time that I had to unplug said phone as o could hear this through the night. I had to call front desk from my cell phone to get the Internet issue fixed.

*backed up bathtub.

*burnt out lightbulbs.

*broken toilet paper holder. Odd, given that I had the same complaint over a month ago.

The manager on duty was owners son. He First suggested I should have come down at night to resolve. I wasn't about to load up & move my family to another room after getting in at 1:00 a.m. after flying & traveling all day. He needed permission to change our room rate, called patents and was told to tell me they would call me on Monday. Really?!?! He also proceeded to tell me of all the other "complainers" he'd had that morning. Again, really?!?! I do not think I'll be back to this hotel.

“Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

I stayed here for two nights during a training class held just down the street. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Front desk staff were eager to answer questions and make dining suggestions. There was a good variety of "grab and go" breakfast in the morning with good coffee, too. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and were a welcome site after being in class all day! I definitely recommend this hotel!

“WonderfulColorado hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2011

We were visiting friends in Loveland. This hotel was a perfect halfway point between Denver and Loveland. The hotel was new, the staff super nice and the rooms clean. We even had a great view of the mountains! The kids enjoyed the pool, we enjoyed the atmosphere. Overall this is a great hotel and the price was very nice!

“Very nice, clean and spacious rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2011

Really happy with this hotel! About an hour from Rocky Mountain National Park, so a bit of a drive, but saved us a considerable amount of money over staying in Estes Park. Very conveniently located and easy to get to from the interstate. We booked a standard room, but the room we got must have been an upgrade. It was very spacious, with 2 queens, a sitting area with couch and lounge chair including coffee table and side table, desk with chair, frig, microwave, and lots of space to move around. Bathroom was huge, but counter space was limited. Very quiet. I don't know if we were there on a slow day or what, but we never heard a peep from other guests, nor road noise from outside. Excessive noise is a pet peeve of mine, so I would go back to this place in an instant just for the peace and quiet!

Breakfast only goes until 9am. I would have liked it to run a little later for those of us who are not early risers. It was good though, on the day we got downstairs in time. Included hot eggs and sausage.

Only problem was that after cleaning one day, the maid apparently did not pull the door tightly closed and so when we returned late in the evening, we found our room unlocked. The door simply pushed open without a key. Nothing in our room was missing, but we reported this to the front desk so hopefully they will take more care in the future.

Overall, we definitely recommend this hotel!
