“hotel didn't register our booking - sad experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2011

We thought we would have done a big deal when we booked this hotel for a 24hour special tariff on expedia. That's why we decide to choose this hotel not easy to find if you arrive from Germany for the first time in denver and have to find it with your rental car on a dark evening. But with the help of google maps we tired but happy arrived at 10p.m. But then a nightmare happened. The young girl at the reception didn't know anything of the booking and couldn't find our confirmed reservation. The manager wasn't there and couldn't be called to find a solution. So the young girl only offered us a room for the regular high price or to leave the hotel in the night. The regular price was about 3 to 4 times higher then the super 24hour offer and for this price we easily could stay at an airport hotel. As it was so late we decided to stay and told her that we wanted to talk to the manger the next morning. The room we were given was not that we had ordered - a quiet room away from hallway. It was just the first room next to the reception and the fitness room with loud television (as nobody was in there in the evening, we switched the tv and the light off). The room was a little dated, especially the kitchen. For a special rate it would have been OK, but for the high rate it was a joke. In the night we send an email to Germany where there was already the next morning and we got an answer that they would inform the hotel about our confirmed booking. Then we went to bed for a short night as the fitness area was loud again in the morning. When we went to the reception to ask for the manager there was an other woman (some older then the girl from the evening) and she said, the super offer we had booked was really cheap but they wouldn't charge us more from the credit card - not the high price the girl offered us the evening before. After returning home 3 weeks later we saw that this was true. so after all it was only a horrible start of our visit in the United States but at least not an expensive one. We think the hotel management should learn from this. For an english speaking person from the US a not booked hotel is quite an awful experience, but to give an foreign guest not familiar with the language and the rights as tourist only the alternative to accept the highest price for a dated room or to leave the hotel late in the night is really a nightmare.
Fortunately this was the worst experience of our holidays what after this start was quite nice. The hotel itself looks nice from outside, lots of parking, no traffic, clean rooms. The outdoor pool was closed although it was about 75-80°F.
Because of the bad experience I only give 2 stars/points (otherwise would be one more if you get an good offer and you will be registered).

“Dilapidated facilities, extremely rude and unaccomidating manager. Don't stay here!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2010 via mobile

We stayed here for two weeks and if circumstances had been different (we pre-paid etc) we would have been out of there the first night. Facilities are old and worn down. Think ripped curtains, torn couch, busted laminate dresser and lamp that falls over every time you walk by. Add to that a kitchen that made my college dorm room look like it should be featured in HGTV and an extremely rude and snarky operations manager and well, you get the picture. Be prepared to receive a major attitude if you impose on the staff br requesting sheets or towels and expect to be told to do everything yourself (since they supposedly only have one person working at a time). With the exception of a fee nice weekend staffers and one nice maintainence man (who we got to know well, since everything here is so run down), this place wS AWFUL!!!!

It was saddening to hear that you did not enjoy your accommodations during your time in Denver. It was a eye-opener to hear that you did not enjoy our hotel fixtures and services. I do know our hotel is somewhat outdated and due for a renovation soon. However, I just wanted to let you be aware that if you didn't enjoy your stay at our hotel, we would have been more than happy to help you find accommodations that better suited your needs. If you pre-pay for accommodations at any hotel and are not satisfied with the product, you are typically eligible for a refund. In this case, we would have been more than happy to help you find what you were looking for and offer a refund since we did not meet your needs. We do appreciate your feedback, as it is the best way we can learn from our mistakes and make our hotel a better place. I encourage you to come stay with us again next time you are in the area, so that you can see our award-winning services in a different light. Thank you for your time.

“Great value for the money!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2010

Stayed in Denver for the first time. Found this hotel on this website. Had decent reviews, so decided to try it.

We had to call 3 times to get directions. Its back off the road around a bunch of business. Its not marked off the roads at all, so its not easy to find if you're not familiar with the area. We ended up driving around 20 minutes trying to find this place.

After we found it, it was very, very nice. It was very quiet. Our room was very nice. The bed and sheets were super comfortable. Had a nice, flat screen tv. Had a really nice kitchen. Had a frig, stove, utinsils, microwave, etc. If we had planned it better, we would have just cooked there! There is a chair, and a couch to sit on. The couch makes into a bed, which is where the kids had to sleep. Their bed wasn't as nice as mom and dad's, but hey, they're kids!

We did find about 4-5 ticks in the bathroom. Wife told the front office, and let them know. They were still on the floor the next day, so I guess it wasn't a big deal to them. They allow dogs, and there were alot of them outside, so I guess thats not real good. Also, somebody was cooking food around 11:30, to midnight, so we had to smell they're food for several hours.

Overall, I would stay here again. Its quiet, and nice. Seems like a safe area. It was very close to a super nice mall too. Very happy with the price also. Bad things: a little hard to find, found ticks, they allow pets (good for pet owners, not good if you don't have pets). They don't have a breakfast place. People cooking food at strange hours. Doesn't seem like that big of a deal until you're laying in bed, and you can hear people cooking, and then having to smell it all night!! It didn't smell good either.

“Pretty Typical for a Big Box Motel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 April 2010

It's new, so it's very clean. But being of newer construction, it has very thin walls - the guy next door kept me up all night with his snoring, the doors have closers that slam pretty loudly, and the refrigerator isn't cold. The heater/AC units make a lot of noise.
However, the beds are comfortable, the TV has plenty of channels, the wireless Internet works very well, and maid service is very good.
This hotel is OK but nothing special.

“Great affordable place for long stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2009

Stayed here for 13 nights and the rate was only $69 a night. Room was a studio suite with mini-kitchen. Had full size fridge, stove, utensils. There was a nice sofa and a great desk to do work on. Free internet as well, a little slow at times but was able to connect to my work VPN no problem. The housekeeping was twice a week and they did a great job. The TV was small. Noise wasn't too much of a problem. Air conditioner worked well. View was pretty good. Was on third floor and could see most of Lone Tree and the mountains to the southwest. Bathroom was decent. Had hairdryer. Room storage was good as well. Big closet. Didn't use the pool but it looked clean. Staff was friendly. Washer and dryers worked well. Only about half mile from the mall and from restaraunts. Be aware that this hotel allows pets and I did hear some large dogs barking down the hall. I would adivse when booking to make sure you are not next to pet owners.
