“Christmas Brunch Ripoff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

My family and I decided to celebrate Christmas a little different this year by making reservations for Christmas Brunch at this hotel. Our reservation was on the later end of the day and we found that no entrees remained nor were there any cheeses on the cheese platter. Desserts were depleted as well. We payed just as much as the earlier diners and had far fewer options. What made this experience worse was the lack of customer service, I left several messages for the F&B manager, Mr. David Hamer and all went unanswered. When I finaly did reach him, he promised to comp a future Holiday meal for four and would send me an email correspondence stating this for redeption either on Mother's Day or Easter, more than a week later nothing has been received. Nearly $300 down the drain. I am a frequent guest and Platinum member of Marriott, next time we'll chose Marriott.

“Great place to stay on weekends”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We've stayed here several times because it's close to DU, the rooms are large with nice flat screen TVs, and the breakfast buffet is good. Prices are hard to beat on the weekends. Easy to get to off of the highway. On one occasion, the shower needed some work - the caulk was cracked/missing. Otherwise, it's always been very clean, and the staff very friendly.

“Tucked away luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

I have stayed at this hotel twice and it has been a grand experience both times. Friendly staff, large rooms, great views and the best breakfast bar I have ever seen in a hotel. Pluses are a large flat screen TV, a panel of jacks to plug in just about anything, I ran my Droid 2 into it and played music off the TV. Couch, fridge, safe and free wireless will always make me come back. The only drawback I had was the size of the bathroom, my closet at home is bigger. Otherwise it is in a decent location, safe, and easily accessible to I-25 North or South. Within 10-15(DEPENDING ON TRAFFIC) minutes driving north you are in Downtown and LoDo. Coming from the West, take the C-470 loop to I-25 north and it is just up the freeway on Belleview. Coming from the East, take I-225 southbound and stay right, will take you right to Belleview ave. Once on Belleview, go thru 2 stoplights and just before hitting the third, on the right, sits the hotel.
I usually stay downtown, and I prefer it over being farther away, but some of those hotels will cost you your first child in many cases, the Hyatt Place was $90 and for what you get, it's well worth the price. Besides, you don't need an armed guard to secure your car like you do leaving it in a lot in downtown. I will be back.

Room Tip: Front desk staff very helpful, just ask for whatever it is you need. Hotel front faces east so if yo...

“nice big rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

This is a great place to stay if you are traveling with two teenagers. The rooms are very big and comfy. We had two double beds and a sofa bed. I got a good deal on priceline. The bathrooms are in need of an upgrade. The breakfast was only so-so. This is a business area, so weekend rates are great. The neighborhood is very nice and safe.

We stayed 3 nights with our 2 year old. Nice, big rooms with nice decor and amenities. The free breakfast and drinks were great! Cant wait to come back.
