“Not so good”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2008

Selected this motel because of an earlier review I read on TripAdvisor. We stopped here on our way to Durango. Much must have gone wrong since the previous review because our experience was not so good. Our experience began with checking in at an office which was inundated with pet odors and pet hair. This office also housed the breakfast area. Suffice to say, we did not partake in the breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the cats and dogs were dreadful. The hotel room was OK, the sheets were clean. However, our party had two rooms and both had malfunctioning shower heads. If not for the previous review, I believe I would've driven on to Lamar.

“Good stopping point”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2006

Stayed at the Econo Lodge in Eads on a trip to Lamar. The room was VERY clean, and the room was warm. Good selection of channels on the TV. The only complaint would be the pillows. They are flat and small.

The people were very courteous at both check-in and check-out.

The only warnings I would issue is that the office closes at 10pm, and the continental breakfast (which was good) is in a VERY small area. There was only seating for two or three people.

Overall, for $50, can't go wrong.

  • Liked — Value for price paid
  • Disliked — Pillows
  • Tips/Secrets — Office closes at 10 p.m., breakfast bar seating VERY limited
