we drove around town, stopped at a few and asked prices. This hotel seemed to be the cleanest for the price. Lady at check in was very friendly, helpful for recommendations of restaurants, even gave us a coupon for "ore house" (great steaks!) Room was spacious, was surprised to see a kitchenette. The room was clean, bathroom was good size. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it! Short drive to down town, or shuttle stop is right next door.

Dog friendly. Our room #3 had been updated. Rustic, felt like new beds, good shower. I'll say it's a little pricey since it comes with no type of morning meal. Great staff recommendations for food in town. The Serious Texas BBQ , next door, for dinner and Oscar's for breakfast was amazing eats. If you want to be downtown in the mix, this motel is a few miles short.

Stayed here two nights with my family of 5. The decor is very dated, but that doesn't matter to us. What did matter was that the beds were incredibly firm -- way too firm. Of 5 places we stayed on vacation, we got the worst sleep here. Other than that, the accommodations were fine, including the kitchen, which was a very nice amentiy.

Cute motel. Had what we needed: a kitchenette (stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker) and a place that allowed pets. Everyone was friendly--guests and managers alike. Clean, comfortable bed, and (like most old motels) you can park right in front of your room--no elevators, endless interior hallways, etc.)
