“Totally Awesome!”

Although we have read negative reviews about Cascade Village Durango, we had a great experience there. We rented a beautiful three bedroom unit (#127) by Cascade Luxury Condos. The unit far and above exceeded our expectations. The furnishings were gorgeous and the views were breathtaking. We received very personalized service and would recommend this unit to anyone wanting to stay near Durango Mountain Resort.

“Amenities lacking”

Our room was someone's private condo. I felt uncomfortable knowing that. The rooms have no a/c so it was very warm at night and no window in the loft. Very uncomfortable beds. The maid didn't make our sofabed, left no shampoos or extra tp, the coffee maker was broken so we had to call for a new one. While we were gone, the maid left a new coffeemaker in an unopened box, for us to put together. There is no front desk. You have to drive 2 miles to get to the registration lobby. I would not stay there again.

“Great stay, Best views and location ever”

We stayed in the 2 bedroom forrester with a double jaccuzi, fireplace and amazing mountain views. The unit was spacious and had everything we could need. The views are stunning, the property is very large so we enjoyed walking in the meadows. The indoor swimming pool is very unique and nice. The property is remote and private, we really liked that aspect of it. If you dont need a bellman to carry your luggage and are self sufficient this should suit nicely. Its surrounded by National forrest and is really convenient to Silverton, Durango Mountain resort and Durango. Will absolutely be back!

“The best place for the money”

I have to say I didn't know what to expect when I checked in. Great service. The room looked much better in person than it did in the photo. When does that ever happen?? Nicely updated, comfortable beds, and all around great experience. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

“Horrible Service, Run down rooms”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2011

The service at the lodge was so bad that by the end of our stay it was almost comical. We were part of a wedding party and had a block of rooms reserved. Some people didn't get into their rooms until midnight because the lack of organization caused reservations to be lost. The rooms were not taken care of, we didn't have trash bags, extra toilet paper or kleenex (we were in a 3 bedroom condo), some rooms you had to use a PLUNGER to flush the toilet every time. For the price these rooms are HORRIBLE. I'm local and I will never, never, never advise anyone to stay at Cascade. I will never recommend anyone to host a wedding at Cascade.
