“Decent Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

I really can't understand the more recent reviews of the Comfort Inn. It did seem a bit worn but we thought it was clean and that the beds and bedding were on the "better side" for this type of hotel. The rooms were quiet and we felt the room and bathrooms were clean and well kept. The continental
breakfast was fairly standard but we appreciated the attendent that worked to keep the area clean and the food restocked. We have stayed in hundreds of hotels / motels over the years and can't quite understand the terrible ratings for this establishment.

“Only Just Barely Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

We stayed here several years ago and had a pleasant experience. Our most recent stay was much less memorable. In the intervening years the carpets have become worn, the furnature skuffed, and the general condition less appealing. The bath fan is loud and the ofd CRT television is fuzzy.
The price is still very reasonable for the area so I think the condition of the hotel is in line with the price.
The rooms are still acceptably clean and the beds still comfortable.
I would stay here again but would go somewhere else if I could find a newer hotel for the same price.
The breakfast area is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is includeds eggs, sausage, waffles, breads, cereals and several juices. The breakfast experience was probably the best feature of the hotel.

“Bad. Really bad.”

Due to a convention in Denver, this was the only hotel room we could find. Our bad luck.

Old, dated rooms. No parking---it's almost all reserved for long term airport parking. Creaky, jumpy elevator that had me gasping in fear. The teeny-tiny bathroom was an adventure. It's the size of a mid-range restroom stall. Even with a little bitty toilet (the diminutive round kind) the room was so small that you couldn't open the door without banging your knees. I could actually put my hand flat on the ceiling, and I'm 5 foot 5 inches tall.

When I arrived, a distraught woman was in the lobby. Her toddler had wet the bed the night before, and she was told there was no replacement bedding available. She was on her way to Walmart to buy a new blanket. Another woman was being informed that her room was much more expensive than when she booked. I wasn't surprised to find out that our room didn't have a fridge for my husband's medication, although it was described as such on the website. The response from the staff was a shrug, and a wry smile. They know it sucks. They work here.

We paid over a hundred dollars a night for a room that might grace a hotel for impoverished transients. Don't stay here.

“Even if this hotel is your only choice, sleeping in your car may be preferrable”

My stay at this Comfort Inn was so irritating that I signed up for Trip Advisor just to vent. Not using any foul language will be the hardest part of writing this review. To begin, like another guest mentioned, I was let into my room a bit before Check-in time. This is a nice courtesy, or rather would have been had I not had to wait awkwardly in the hallway until housekeeping actually finished cleaning my room. After arriving, I happened to be very thirsty and had the privilege of paying $1.75 for a bottle of water (who do they think they are? A professional sporting venue?). After emptying my wallet to satiate my thirst, I decided to take a little nap. It freaked the heck out of me to awake with a family of four at the foot of my bed (who were politely embarrassed and left). This situation was due to the door not closing all the way unless given a real big shove. Housekeeping was either not aware of or not conscientious about this door's particular peccadillo, and thus left the door partly ajar all day the next day while I was at work; luckily nothing was stolen. If you like roulette, you'll love the free wifi, which could work or not work at any given time, how exciting! (and the short time it did work, it was terribly slow). Finally, there is not even close to enough parking. I suppose the parking lot is reserved for people they gouge with long-term parking, leaving us poor suckers staying at the hotel parking in the fire lanes and being told we probably won't get towed by a minimum wage employee at the front desk who I sincerely hope is browsing Monster.com. Enough rambling; if you have a choice, do not stay at this hotel. I'm sure it will disappoint you in ways you hadn't even considered you could be disappointed by a hotel. I travel often for work in cheap hotels, and this one is a cut way below most. The only worse experience I've had was staying in a hotel infested with giant bugs, and I'm not even sure I wouldn't choose that hotel over this depressing cluster of disappointment.

“would never voluntarily stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 June 2011

missed a connecting flight and was comped the night here by united airlines---why they would have this hotel on their list is beyond me---I waited for the shuttle at the airport for 35 minutes, only to have the driver whiz by in the shuttle without even slowing down---tried to catch him by waving but he just kept going. After calling the hotel again to request the shuttle he came back around. The driver did not get out of the vehicle to assist either at the airport or the hotel. The front desk clerk was very polite and pleasant and gave me my room key. When I got to the room it was dark, dingy and smelled musty. The carpet was visibly soiled. 2 lights in the room did not work, and the bathroom floor had 3 dead bugs on it. The lampshade was visibly torn on the lamp(the one that worked). Highway traffic noise was very loud. at 4 am the clock radio went off in the next room and was blaring---it sounded like it was in the same room. I did not contact the desk to change rooms because I checked in around 9 pm and took the 5:30 am shuttle back to the airport for my flight.
I had no idea what the room charge was since United airlines paid for it, but in my opinion, a room in this condition should not have been on the list of accomodations they refer their customers to. It felt unclean, and was just gross.
